It's possible. Maybe it's best for all parties to move on.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.
RIP Cesar Castello, Mike Vallo, Glenn Stampiglia, Bob Paquette, and Warren Lee

This upcoming season is probably going to be the most change since the first year of Marsch.

He's a good player and one of the least of our problems on the pitch, but at this point I'm ready to start fresh. Tired of this being a storyline every 4 months.

Shoukd have sold him ... when they had the chance.
Was the previous dispute only over the price?
Why would RB sell him then, at a loss?
Why should they now?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

He wasnt bought to hand a contract extension to and keep in MLS, picking up his option was giving the team 1 year or less to sell him.
Better to get this out of the way now, and focus on incomings.

The alternative is having him become a distraction the entire season and letting him walk for free after 2021.

How much value will be have now anyway,
if he will be out-of-contract soon?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Still a lot more than zero!
Getting messy on the way out, not too surprising considering his agent, but this was always the move.

Honestly sometimes I can't tell if he and his agent are just dumb or pretending to be dumb as a negotiating tactic. They're upset Kaku wasn't notified of his option being picked up? Did they actually think Red Bull would just let him walk for free after spending $6M on him?

He is under contract for 2021, right? There was no option to pick up. Were they upset he didn't get a new deal?
His agent is a scumbag, as we already know.

Red Bulls official release does have Kaku as a player with his option picked up, but yeah his agent is the worst.

?
The Red Bulls exercised options on defenders Kyle Duncan and Sean Nealis, midfielders Sean Davis, Kaku, Jared Stroud, Daniel Royer and Florian Valot, as well as forward Tom Barlow.
