Little long in the tooth, but honestly don't hate it considering the circumstances (they're clearly not shelling out a legit fee for a player this window). Hell of a scoring record in Poland these last two seasons. Experience across a number of competitive leagues. Still got 3 caps for the Czechs this past WCQ cycle. Also is a giant so fits this "system" perfectly - which is Sean Nealis and Tom Edwards bombing up long balls to our strikers who suck in the air.

Added bonus - probably has some chemistry with Luquinhas?

Not a particularly ambitious signing but at least he has experience and a decent reputation.

not bad.

Luq teammate

long and varied career.

Just don't get why not sign this guy a month ago if out of contract.

But please sign him right now.

Yes, please. Not because of his pedigree. Because we need to cross Czech Republic off the international roster:

None who would admit it! 😁

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

since he was born pre split of Czechoslovakia does it count for only 1 Czech  or 2 Czech and Slovakia?

Because he was the contingency plan, not the top target.

Agree, he wasn't the first choice. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. Someone like him makes sense

He had a drastic drop off from top forward in the League scoring 22 goals in 25 games in 2020-21 to 9 goals in 31 games for Warsaw in 21-22. Now he is a year older at 33. For comparison Klimala, when he was 21, scored 7 goals in 17 games in the same League. It sounds to me like we are getting an older guy, on the way down, and last year performing on par or worse than than younger guy we already have.

Appears to be an absolutely pathetic move on paper. Haven't actually seen the guy play.
