damn apparently they kicked out CJ Sapong as well. Cleaning house. I wonder who the interim coach will be? Seeing as we have a game in 2 days....maybe Wolyniec?

We had CJ Sapong in the organization?!?! Why did they not play him as striker then

Mark Anthony Kaye of LAFC now accusing Orlando City players of caring more about getting 3 points from their win against Nashville last night than the BLM movement.

However, it looks like (per Nashville player/coach statements) that they shut their phones off before kickoff to focus on playing, and therefore were not aware of the other games being postponed. So they took the field.

Also Steven Goff says not everyone was on board with not playing last night:

Total disarray in MLS...

#1369119 Some fans are back

One players thoughts on how some fans chose to exercise their 1st Amendment rights:

The anthem takes on a different meaning for everyone.

If Reggie wants to kneel, that's fine.

If fans want to boo because they don't like it and have another view of the anthem and what it represents, that's fine as well.

For him to say it's "disgusting" though -- he's completely missing the mark. Reggie Cannon doesn't get to decide what the anthem means for anyone but himself.

New Jersey Gov. Murphy is now closing all state parks, country parks and forests.

Gotta watch out for coronavirus when you go on remote hikes -- that'll show'em Phil! Hey Phil, can I get coronavirus if I dip my foot in a stream?

They let trolls in the park???

Yep. There's a bridge I like to hang out under, near the lake.

Ah, we are by that Parkside/Drummers Grove entrance but Reggie can be dramatic, I'll tell him to hush. I've been going after 8pm, and then its fine for keeping big gaps while biking laps. Will get tougher as it warms up and people get antsy.

Yeah it will definitely get more crowded as it gets nicer. The drummers grove people are just congregating and smoking weed, like they always do, but they don't bother anyone.

I'm bummed they probably aren't going to have the free concerts this summer there. Hopefully smorgasburg can happen in some capacity.

You could always try Greenwood cemetery. Tons of trails, tons of space, less people (but no bike riding). There's a few ponds there that are nice to sit by.

According to a friend out for a run, Prospect Park is currently packed with idiots not practicing protocols. Makes me think we'll be dealing with rounds of suppression until a vaccine is available.

The only people in Prospect Park not practicing distancing protocols are the people that congregate in the Drummer's Grove area (southeast corner). And they probably never will anyway. Other than that, the park was filled with plenty of people today enjoying the beautiful day outside, jogging, biking, walking and getting exercise, all mindful of each other.

So I'm not sure why your friend is trying to spread fake news but you should go for a walk around the loop. It's safe and a great way to blow off steam. It's completely unrealistic to think everyone is just going to sit inside this entire time.

My money is on ^ that timing, with a second quarantine sometime in late summer, early fall.

I'm wondering if the fact that personal hygiene has now been drilled into everyone's brains because of this (maybe too overboard for some), it will lessen the risk of a second wave.

Also I think because the 90-day eviction/mortgage suspension thing ends in June, that gives New York state an incentive to get things running again, rather than having to extend that even further.

So that would go the other way in that argument. Positive people are not being tested either.

Hope your family members are healthy and have fully recovered.

Yeah but at the same time unless it proves fatal for the positive people who aren't tested, then it means the mortality rate is even lower than what is being reported now.

They say they both have recovered, thanks for asking.

If the postponement drags on for a while, should the league just scrap the results of the first two gameweeks and start totally fresh once things begin again?

It would be cool to do like a 3 month world cup format with group stages and knockout rounds to crown the MLS Cup winner this year. I'm not sure how they could set that up with 26 teams though.

Im positive for COVID-19. I found out my results on Tuesday.  Let me tell you:  it sucks.

I have been sick for six days, but luckily have been spared the worst symptoms.  My pulmonologist started me on Kaletra and Plaquenil immediately (in fact, he starred me on the Kaletra before I even had my positive test results, because I am in an at-risk category).  I have no doubt that this timely intervention was key to minimizing my symptoms.  I had developed difficultly breathing and a fever, which the drugs seem to have sorted out.  Not everyone has access to such exceptional care, sadly.  So, others will not be so lucky.

However, its been no walk in the park.  Ive had diarrhea since Sunday, am constantly achy and can barely keep my eyes open.  No amount of sleep does any good. So, please, do what you can to: a) avoid getting it yourself; and b) avoid passing it on to others who might be more at risk than you are.

Stay strong. You are brave and we are all cheering for your recovery. Please keep us updated when you can.

The volume of people blaming him for things will decrease when he stops creating reasons to be blamed. If you want your president to behave like a complete and utter buffoon every time he opens his mouth or picks up his phone, deal with the consequences. He called this a hoax 3 weeks ago. Enough with the attempts at drawing false equivalencies. Nobody behaves like this. You don't get a free pass for "nobody would handle this any better" when you come out of the gate with that type of bullshit.

Ok, we get it. You're unhinged in your hatred of Trump and nothing is going to convince you otherwise that it's not all his fault.

The other countries were the first ones to be hit. We had the luxury of learning from China, Japan, South Korea, & Italy.  We chose not to.

Also, in 2018 the Trump administration DISBANDED a pandemic team within the NSC days after the group met to discuss the Spanish Flu of 1918 and what measures they should take to protect us from a similar pandemic in the future, which they thought was an inevitability.

So, thats why, even moderates like myself, wish we had someone that wasnt a TV personality, multiple bankrupt filing, egomaniac in charge. But sure, lets blame it on the left. Lets blame on the party whose President installed a Pandemic team and give a a pass to the guy that disbanded it.

Who is blaming it on the left?
