I dont believe that galaxy rumor for a second. Why would Long sign before the World Cup theres no reason to.

He may still go there but signing now would be malpractice

I wouldnt say never. There is still a possibility. At the end of the day, it will be what Long wants. I would be okay with whatever decision he makes.

RB could offer the most money in MLS, LA is home and Europe is the dream.

Yeah, I don't have much confidence in Long coming back but think that deal with LA may be in place if he doesn't get interest from Europe.

Ben cork on twitter and other reporters saying Long turned down 2 big offers from Red Bulls. Looks like its either Europe or LA.

Looks like he might be staying in MLS with the Galaxy.

On nov 10, tom bogert said the following:

"Teams I'm expecting to be in the market for Aaron Long in MLS free agency are the LA Galaxy, Colorado Rapids, FC Dallas and more.

There is interest in Long in England like Bournemouth, West Ham & others, I'm told. Not expecting serious movement here until after the World Cup."

From last night: https://twitter.com/...176277879779328

"RUMOR: #LAGalaxy will be signing USMNT Center-Back, Aaron Long. Will be a TAM signing."

And then it turns out the defender Galaxy signed today was AJ DeLaGarza, on a one-day deal so he can retire.

He could get a serious injury in the World Cup and basically end his chances of every getting another big contract again.  Playing international games without a contract is very risky for this reason.

For much less than he stands to make from his next contract.

So if he does not get minutes this WC to showcase his skills, what does that mean for his prospects post tournament?

The chances of him getting a favorable showcase in the WC were slim at best.

Dyer says 4 teams in the mix for Long. Red Bulls don't appear to be one of them...
