The 101 capo in the second half would look towards 102, get on the same page, and start a song. Moral: He didn't look over at 133.
This happened many, many times, but is something that can be fixed - LOOK LEFT!
And on one occasion, 133 had just started a song, the 101 capo looked at them, then looked at the 102 capo (why are there two of them????) and shrugged, and started a different song.

Not trying to hate, I really liked the new capos (it was my first game of the season) but this stuff did happen and can be fixed.

I saw the 101 capo look left to 133 and right to 102 during the start of the "timeless classics". Funny because 133 capo started a different song and ignored the classics each time and started a different song. Coincidence that it occurs during an old school song each time? Hmmmm... <_<
Judge: Mr Griffin, you even tried to bribe me with a subscription to Grape soda today, which I already have!

Yea... maybe. But this is turning into he said / she said, but in the end let's just be happy that Saturday was much better than the previous two games.

Progress is better than bickering at each other. Let's take it to the road.... down I95 to the shithole known as DC.

Seriously guys? Look at the improvement over the Montreal match. If you have an idea to continue improving the coordination between sections and capos, then let's hear it. Whining and flexing nuts over how flawless your club is while everyone else is fucking up is not only incorrect, but pointless.

Props to Faux and the capos for their initiative and efforts. Props to everyone in the SW who played ball and made a huge difference on Saturday. Everyone else needs to stop being turds in the punch bowl.

Couldn't agree more. No point having a flex competition here.

I made my thoughts known after the meeting of the capos that I had several reservations on how things would be moving forward. Best to make your thoughts known beforehand and those were made as some others had done as well. As the pregame began, I had a couple more conversations and I was satisfied with the commentary. As I stated before, I shook the hand of each of the first half capos on Saturday for a job well done. I think more songs will be integrated over time... I think everyone was impressed with how good Shalalalalala New York went over. Progress was made on the back and forth song as well... though I do think we have to come up with different hand / arm gestures. Perhaps GSU starts the gesture... other groups imitate the gesture back. Then the second go round GSU starts a new gesture, continuing on until the song is completed. Thoughts?

I was standing between the 133 perch and the 101 perch and I can tell you that Nuno's frustration was mainly caused by 101's tendency to speed up our songs as we get louder...(which also explains why we sound much better when we do the slower songs)
This is something that has happened in 101 for years, idk why, but it does...we speed up the song as we get into it... Not a bad thing as it simply means that everyone's adrenaline is pumping.

All credit to Nuno, he would stop his guys and hold until the next verse began to signal them back in sync.

It wasn't a matter of GSU not wanting to participate, it was a matter of tempo/timing which I'm sure will be improved as we continue to work together.

Also, there were periods of time when each section did their own thing for 1-2 songs...This is perfectly OK in my opinion, and more importantly, every time this happened the capos took a minute to re-group and got us all back in sync.

All in all, I saw everyone on the perch (and near them) making a coordinated effort to work together which led to one of our best performances in a while. Kudos to EVERYONE who sang, jumped and brought the noise on Saturday.

Let's keep the work going as we are nowhere near our full potential.

Here's a thought for the hand gestures - 133 starts in the direction of 101. 101 then turns to 102 and does the same one to them. 102 then starts a new gesture toward 101 who turns to 133 and repeats it. Then start all over again.

I think Corey had a hard time holding on to the drum which made it that much harder to keep time. Next game let's to try to get the drum into the crowd sooner so we can find a seat that it can sit on. I suggest it being in row 1 where some people don't go back and forth during wipeout or medical reasons.

Also, there was a drum somewhere in 133 that was off from the drum in 101. I understand that it's not their fault if they stay in time while 101 speeds up, but the whole purpose of 1 drum is to keep everyone in time with each other regardless of weather we're fast or slow. I agree that we were out of time, but I'll cough that up to it being day 1 of this "unity" atempt as well as it being hard to hold up a bass drum and play it at the same time. So for next game can we only have 1 drum for real? Also, I asked Corey if he could drum because I didn't know who to ask. And correct me if I'm wrong, he didn't seem opposed to having someone else play. If there are any competent and (preferably) experienced drummers out there who want to step up, please do it. It would be nice if you could get in touch with me or Kevin or any of the board members before hand just so we know what/who we're working with.
"I'm sure we won't hear much from [Philly] because of the quality of our fans, of how loud and how boisterous they are," Petke said. "They're probably going to drown them out. But I welcome it. I love it..."
