at the end of yr press conf, they said that they have 1 scout already employed, and that they're going to hire 2 other scouts. so they're tripling their effort to look for players, i just hope that this investment in scouting turns up players that can produce for us. i have no illusions that whatever player we sign won't wanna be here for half a decade and be run into the ground. 2 yr stay max.

Often thought MLS is severely behind when it comes to scouting. Hell, NFL teams have a small army of scouts on both the college side and pro side and we're only talking one country. MLS teams should have even more scouts but a lot of these teams barely have anything.
Probably why so many signings for teams are based on connections.

at least with scouts, you have an employee, rather than a 3rd party connect, who can give you an actual evaluation of a player.

Amarildo is the type of player we get from Brazil.
He's currently dead last in depth at NYRBII behind Barlow, Jorgensen, Sowe, Omir and Elney.
To be fair, he was pre-Bragantino, struggling to get out of the 4th division nationally. Bragantino are running away with promotion to the top division next year.
If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

I would not want Mario Balotelli anywhere around this team. Guy is a head case

Mario Balotelli ... is a head case
Anyone who supports this club needs their head examined.

Adam Lallana linked to possible MLS move, according to The Telegraph. Expected to be offered new contract by Liverpool when his expires this summer, but will also have offers from teams in MLS and China. Did not specify MLS teams. 31 years old, turns 32 in May.
3 year deal, $4.5 million total. Done. Maybe Liverpool will let him go on a free transfer in January.
I sort of like the guy, but I don't watch Liverpool enough to really say. A little old and not an "A" level superstar. Also, does he have a history of being injured a lot? RBNY needs an attacking center midfielder, someone who can score a bit but also set others up. Kaku, but better than Kaku. Is Lallana that guy?
