Important note in there too:
New York Red Bulls have also looked at Scotland and Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland but the Aberdeen striker is the preferred choice.

Way better track record than Jørgensen and clearly has the physicality to be a target striker in the MLS. If RBNY want to play direct a guy this size is ideal.
BWP was only Ian Wrights lesser known son toiling in the lower leagues of English football before he came here.
I dont care where they come from as long as they can produce, and at this point Im happy they are going to address some of the positions of need.
Still desperately need a CM though

Cosgrove seems like he could be a solid MLS striker based on his accomplishments thus far.
I am unconvinced by the other guy. He has never scored at a level above the Scottish second division, which sucks. I doubt he would be an upgrade over White.

God, the bar is now so low.
The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. The activity for the team is so sparse......that fans are actually convincing themselves that players from the Scottish 2nd division are good signings.
God, the bar is now so low.
Bingo.
