A player like him won't put more fannies in the seats at RBA that's for sure.

Because he was not a good central midfielder.

I think this signing sucks but you could use this logic for Pasher moving to LB. Shit argument.

Also, I don't exactly look at Houston as the paragon of good roster decisions. But again, this dude is probably going to suck.

Pasher is 28 years old.  Not exactly the age where a player develops and grows into a new position.

Long was 21 years old when Portland released him.

Yeah see that's a better argument.

Dart throw from the front office. Wont judge the guy until I see him play. My question is Does the FO know they could sign players from Europe/South America that are FA right now? Red Bull corporation must hate NY.

We could use literally warm bodies at certain positions, so sure, I guess.

Any good games from him will be a bonus. Dont expect much or get worked up if he ends up with rb 2

Looks about standard backup mls fullback.

Better than nothing would be my thoughts.

Not an exciting pick up, but this shows some pretty good skill/ability. Also getting called up to the national team is a good sign.

I hope he contributes.

Yeah there is no way hes playing with the 2s. Even if he sits on the bench he is going to be Tolkin insurance.

Scouting reports from Houston fans are saying this guy never played LB for them. Used to be a creative attacking player, good dribbler, but fell off hard after a bad leg injury. Not a great defender.

signing a guy already on a MLS contract so he doesnt need a visa is a plus, we honestly need some bodies.  Should bring a vet presence to locker room too.  Had like 5 empty senior slots 5 days ago so using one on someone like this is no big deal.  According to transfermarkt he played a lot of left back in USL and seems to have decent work rate even though Houston fans disagree.

Will find out soon enough

Metro Canadians, ranked:

1. Dwayne De Rosario (by default)

2. Karl Ouimette (this is not a good list)

3. Greg Sutton (proof that GAA is not a real good stat)

4. Marco Rizi

?. O'Vonte Mullings (not a first-team player yet)

Ouch.

real #1 is Mark Chung (born in Canada, but capped for US)

At least this guy has scored a few bangers. If he can be serviceable at LB it is filling a position of need since Pendant left. Even getting Tolkin some rest 20-30 minutes here and there should be helpful.

Having said that, Oyongo is a free agent atm and I was hoping someone might be smart enough to bring him in, but oh well.
