I would love to come more frequently but I am only getting older and the LIRR, NJT, PATH triathlon makes for a very long, tiring experience to see them in person.I have not once driven since RBA opened. Cant fix the stadiums location unfortunately, but if the club at least made an effort to be relevant it would make the trip more palatable. I hope with the effort to bring BWP back to the organization this club is learning.

There is near zero marketing. Sticking an out-of-home billboard down the road from the Arena is like watering the pool rather than the grass around it.

I think eventually the league/ownership groups step in.

Ironbound youth organization is having a tournament this weekend, so that's about 100 freebie tickets that aren't being used today.

I can't get anyone to go with me to the games any longer. If I bring up Gotham FC, some people are actually interested.

When you watch the other domestic leagues, Champions League matches and then watch this first half which looks like it's being played in slow motion, how to you bring yourself to come to a game?

The traffic situation even with the low crowds is still horrific. If you don't park on the streets, you're going to spend 30-45 minutes stuck in that nearby lot.

Lastly, the last star player was Henry. Are fans going to pay good money to come watch Patryk Klimala?

Step in and do what, and why? Force Red Bull to sell because their attendance sucks? That's never, ever going to happen.

I totally agree with you. Not the first time someone has said this. This is a perennial playoff qualifying team that has poor marketing. This is not Chivas USA. A league intervention is never happening.

And one that has spent a TON of money on a stadium, training facilities, and academy infrastructure.

They run on a cheap first-team payroll, but they're not bargain-binning the entire club.

Who gives a rat's ass about that shit? It's literally the bare minimum that an owner should accomplish. I just witnessed among the most poorly played games of alleged "pro" soccer I've seen in years in a stadium that might not even be in the top half of stadiums in the league at this point with maybe 4,500 fans on a nice day. MLS is looking at a shit new TV deal and the McFranchises in the NY market are a big reason why. To hell with facilities, get better players than freaking Tom Barlow.

There's even fewer people here than last week if that's even possible

Rescheduled, colder, at night, vs. a non-rival. 🤷

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Where are you parking and going to?  These days it rarely takes me more than 10s minute to get onto 280 from Lot B.

You were close on first number.
I would guess actual crowd <5,000.

Regarding Neymar a few posts up^^^ Sad part is, Neymar is actually a Red Bull sponsored athlete. IN THEORY, it could be a realistic signing for this club. We have the NY location, we have a beautiful stadium, and we have the money. It would be a top 3 signing in league history and would have a major positive impact on the club. Theres only a few MLS clubs who would even have a chance to sign him. (NY clubs, LA clubs, Miami) Yet i guarantee if he wanted to come here, RBG would probably say nahhh no thanks he doesn't fit the Red Bull style.

Alot of reasons went into me cancelling my season tickets. But by far, the main reason is because I am now fully convinced that this club exists to be a development club RedBull, and a marketing tool for RedBull. Winning in New York and growing the game in the NY area is a completely secondary to their development of "Red Bull" players. Unless they do some things (not one thing, not two things, ALOT of things) to convince me otherwise, i dont ever see myself coming back. And I know i am not alone with these thoughts.

The premise was about the league intervening to take over the club. That's not happening with an ownership group spending hundreds of millions on club infrastructure.

MLS doesn't get shitty TV ratings because the New York teams are affiliates. It gets shitty TV ratings because it's like the 6th-best league you can easily watch on American TV.
