This is maybe an unpopular opinion, but does anyone else think that the play of Tarek has arguably been the most valuable asset this season?  He's obviously not our best player or even best defender, but I don't know where we'd be with Nealis getting all of his minutes, and god knows who taking Nealis's spot.

Feel like Tarek has single-handedly won us a handful of points this season.

He is up there for sure and is one of the unsung heroes in the whole league this season.  I would still say our most valuable asset is Kemar though.  When he is healthy and playing we can beat anyone, when he's not  I wonder sometimes if we are a playoff team.  It's very rare for a wingback/fullback to have this kind of impact on a team.

Every time he is in a game he either has brain fart or some other disaster happens. His play reminds me of the disaster we had with Barcelona 2 player we had a couple of seasons ago. I would rather call up someone from the NYRB2 over him. I really want to Nealis to not play in any future games. Trade or cut him ASAP.

It is not Nealis fault. He would have benefited tremendously from a full year with RBII but just too thin at the back with injuries and a Gold Cup year. Blame FO.

Shouldn't be unpopular at all, he's played so far above the level anyone would have expected. Just imagine if we didn't pick him up and we had to rely on Nealis for the amount of minutes he's played. Or worse, had to rely on the next guy down the chain to play the minutes Nealis has...

wish the US game started at 7 Copa at 8 and NYRB at 9 so that way could catch the end of each boo

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

White AND Barlow? Whoa.

Royer, Kaku, and Rza on the bench. Definite rotation.

Hmmm. Well cant accuse Armas of being predictable with his lineups. BWP and Jorgenson also on the bench.

Parker not in the 18injury or rest?

Edit: apparently Parker picked up a mid-foot sprain against Chicago. At least we will presumably have either Long or Lawerence back against Atl.

Saw a lineup tweeted out with both Lade and Murillo at CB:

Barlow - White

Ivan

Davis - CCJ

Duncan - Lade - Tarek - Murillo - Muyl

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.
