The six meaningful matchups:
Cardiff-Reading
Fulham @ Birmingham
Derby-Barnsley
Preston-Burton
Millwall @ Middlesbrough
Bolton-Forest
In 4, both sides have an interest in the outcome!
Bolton-Millwall would have been a perfect fifth.

Millwall Middlesbrough was last weekend. Millwall is home to Villa, while Middlesbrough is at Ipswich Town on Sunday.

Duly noted!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Wow Fulham's unbeaten streak finally ends AND Cardiff got the draw that Fulham needed from them. That's really disappointing.

There are still the playoffs.

It really does, although it's always nice to watch some soccer while I should be working.

I know we have discussed trends elsewhere. Someone has charted the levels of Championship teams over the past 3 years, including projected and actual goalscoring. I still do not know if it predicts anything:
https://experimental...trends-2017-18/

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.
