I like these games but also fear them. If they get blown out, then it's a miss opportunity to show fans that we are a decent squad.
those fans don't care about MLS. Regardless of what happens there is a ready made excuse.
I hope we get dibs on trying to get tickets and resell.
also Barca ain't what they used to be...

Yeah, too bad our season tickets no longer have that "international friendly TBA" game. It paid for my season the last time they were in town.

Cool! Finally a chance to sell my tix for a profit. That Arsenal game paid for half my season tickets. Won't be anything like that, but at least I'll get some of my parking for the year covered.

I need my plaid pitch.

Barcelona will face New York Redbulls
Details?
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Till this day I get teased by Barcelona fans that they destroyed rbny.
When ever I say let's go to a rbny game.. the response is usually "oh to watch the team Barcelona beat 4-1"

Weird.
They also beat Villarreal 4-0 and Mallorca 4-1 that season, to pick two games at random. Are those also not real teams?

As long as we're only trotting out our starters for a handwave and some light jogging, there's no real problem with a friendly like this. It's money for us and a fun day for fans of both teams. I don't see a reason to worry about the perception of Barca fans or how many long term fans we win over.
Who knows, maybe the kids beat 'em like they did Chelsea a few years ago!
