#1344583 Some people remember past coaches

Posted by SatansHockey on 18 April 2019 - 10:13 AM

Petke couldnt beat Fas in the champions league when he was rbny coach but you are claiming he would beaten Chivas...

We couldn't even beat dog shit Houston at home in the playoffs when he was here.

#1344515 Thierry Henry linked to RB coaching role

Posted by SatansHockey on 17 April 2019 - 09:30 AM

Unless Henry is going to keep the WTC PATH station open on the weekends, I don't see how our attendance would magically improve with him here.

Yup and we didn't sell out when he played here, so him coaching certainly isn't going to start selling it out.

too bad CCL wasn't closer.  If it was 3-0 then SKC would have to go for it.
down 5-0 what do they do.  Try not to get killed at home?  Play first teamers?

Doesn't matter anyway, Santos played their full lineup in a league game before they played us and we rested guys and still lost.

#1344140 Is 2019 season a hangover for winning Supporters' Shield?

Posted by SatansHockey on 10 April 2019 - 02:22 PM

It shouldn't even be considered a hangover since we got absolutely embarrassed in the playoffs against Atlanta.

#1343814 Stadium updates

i can actually buy that STH has been increasing over the years, but don't think that has translated over to the casual fans as well

Yeah I can maybe buy that but I should have been more clear and said that there is no way in hell that we average 20k a game. If we actually averaged that many people there would be no reason to close so many sections this year and do whatever these "upgrades" are.

If you look over the last four years, weve averaged 20,000 and weve been building our base attendance and our season-ticket base every year, de Grandpre added"

No way in hell is that true

#1343547 Benfica vs Roma @ RBA, 7/24

Posted by SatansHockey on 27 March 2019 - 02:51 PM

At least it's not Red Bull vs. Roma or Benfica.

Remember the hype when they played Arsenal at RBA? And then their lineup was a bunch of scrubs like Chuba Akpom, lol.

A bunch of us here made a ton of money off that game though. Good times.

#1343539 2019 Parley Jersey Leak - Black and Aqua?

Posted by SatansHockey on 27 March 2019 - 11:39 AM

It's one game a year and it's for a good cause, I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like anybody is being forced to purchase one either.

Maybe if people weren't such disgusting slobs none of this would be necessary. Hell, look around RBA and over the bridge from Newark to the arena alone to see how much trash people throw out their damn car windows or just drop on the ground.

If they really wanted asses in the seats they would require you to buy it at the stadium on game day?  No?

They don't make enough of these to even do that.

Are we supposed to cheer stache scoring on us? Lol I liked him when he was here but this was his 2nd game back now and he scored a late goal against us. Now he gets booed like anyone else who scores on us. Who cares. #ParagraphsAreYourFriend

#1343416 Apathetic and fractured fanbase

Posted by SatansHockey on 24 March 2019 - 10:07 AM

I've been a season ticket holder for the Devils and Red Bulls for a very long time. Devils attendance issues has been overblown for years. They had more people at their game yesterday to watch a shit team than the amount of people at RBA last night.

Devils attendance has been very solid since moving into the Prudential Center considering how bad they have been most years playing there and the fact they have missed the playoffs 7 times since moving there and only advanced past the 1st round 1 time in 12 seasons there.

You can talk about all the past success but that does nothing to take away from how awful they have been the majority of the time in this new arena.

They have missed the playoffs 6 of the past 7 years and this season has been absolutely horrible but the crowds have been great. Attendance is sitting at 92.4% capacity this year which is amazing considering all their injuries and the fact they have been basically been a minor league team cause of the injuries.

People are coming out to their games, it's just that the midweek mildly attended games against western conference teams that nobody cares about gets overblown into "no fans!"

Here's the Devils capacity per season since moving into the Prudential Center...

18-19 - 92.4% no playoffs
17-18 - 92% 1st round knockout
16-17 - 94% no playoffs
15-16 - 91.3% no playoffs
14-15 - 86.2% no playoffs
13-14 - 88.7% no playoffs
12-13 - 97.1% no playoffs
11-12 - 87.4% lost in the finals
10-11 - 83.08% no playoffs
09-10 - 88.1% 1st round knockout
08-09 - 89.6% 1st round knockout
07-08 - 88.3% 1st round knockout

#1343225 Metro - Orlando Game Thread

Posted by SatansHockey on 20 March 2019 - 08:53 AM

Calling it now. 20k butts in seats. Oohs and aahs every time Nani gets the ball. Nani scores a brace and Orlando beats a short handed metro, just like last year

With all the sections closed off we can't even hit 20k seats now, place won't even be close to packed.
