Ecuador vs Jamaica @ RBA, Friday Sep 7, 8pm

13 August 2018 - 09:13 AM

The Ecuadorian national team will face off against Jamaica next month at Red Bull Arena. The cheapest seats are ~$61 (including fees)...no way I am trying to flip these seats.  If they do any groupon specials in a few weeks, I may pick some seats up then.

Hoping Taxi gets a call up for this one. Our next game isn't until 9 days later, plus he wouldn't have to travel for this game.

2019 Red Membership renewal

26 July 2018 - 02:10 PM

anyone see the email blast for 2019 ST renewals? Looks like the swag for next year is gonna be some Red Member sneakers - nice!  Wasn't a huge fan of the hoodie this year, but this one has the potential to be really cool.

Price in my section (200 level above the south ward) looks like it's going up ~3%, which is not bad.

Sports betting legal in NJ

14 June 2018 - 07:58 AM

Starting today, you'll be able to bet on pro sports here in NJ (Delaware started taking sports bets last week). Who will you bet on?

I threw down a bet on France to win the world cup at 6:1 odds in Delaware last week.  Also apparently the Red Bulls are 12:1 odds to win the MLS Cup...I wouldn't mind taking that bet as well.

Red seats at RBA

10 May 2018 - 05:40 PM

One thing that stuck out to me about the NYC game was how good the stadium seats looked in red. Even with a big chunk of fans still on the path/tailgate/bar, the stadium looked much better due to the red t-shirts hanging on the back of each empty chair.

Any chance that the team will replace the blue seats with red ones? Can't imagine it would be cheap. Maybe they can install only the seat backs and leave the bottoms of the chairs intact at blue?

Some people don't care about the DC rivalry

19 April 2018 - 03:53 PM

I-95 rivalries are so MLS 1.0

This was probably tongue in cheek, but it's true.  I remember people used to get worked up about the DCU rivalry games, and even to a lesser extent the New England games.  Now it's all about the blue team, and also Toronto IMO.
