BWP, same thing. He had played in the Championship, but was only ever successful in League One.

I mean, that's not really true. He was good enough to get 32 PL appearances and scored at a mediocre rate in the Championship. He succeeded in League One.

This guy peaked in League 2 and has been basically irrelevant in the Championship and League One.

To say they both played in the Championship and League One is like saying Rece Buckmaster and Kyle Duncan are both MLS players. That's technically true, but they're at opposite ends of the spectrum.

This guy is prob one of the few that is willing to play for the $$$ they're offering. He fits the scouting profile.

They bid multiple millions on Toney like 8 months ago.

Bogle is the fall back option, when they strike out with the guys ahead of em.

Are we sure any of our signings were fall backs?  I never had the sense that this group was capable of formulating a Plan B.

Maybe I shouldn't, but I differentiate the current group from the Hamlett/Armas combo. The Marsch/Curtis and Marsch/Hamlett combos seemed to work well, and I expect the Thelwell/Hamlett/Struber combo to return to (or exceed due to experience and connections) those Marsch teams.

I like to be optimistic so I can really feel the maximum affect of failure.

Oh yeah, wasn't saying this guy's resume is identical to BWP's or that he will be as good as our best ever striker! Just that people can outplay their presumed level; no one was expecting BWP to do as well as he did based on his L1 performance in any case.

He scored 19 goals in England's FOURTH division in 2016-2017... and then... nothing special.

https://fbref.com/en...bcfc/Omar-Bogle

a guy that tore up the 4th division?

That's such a bad look for the MLS.

We need to be poaching guys from the second division minimum.

Luke scored for Port Vale, Notts County, etc. Plus, iirc Backe was his manager for a season or two, knew him personally, etc.

He also scored bonus points for the near decapitation of this woman.
