Remember flag etiquette:
Use your flags, don't just set them on the benches. ESPECIALLY do not set them on the ground. (If you see one on the ground, are stepping on one, pick it up.)
Try not to waive it around pointlessly, ESPECIALLY during play.
Don't wave them in front of people. We're going with smaller poles precisely so you aren't waving the flags in front of the people 4 rows ahead.
Don't take or let anyone else take flags out of the section. If you have a flag, return to the front of 138 at the end of the game. If you see someone leave a flag, grab it and bring it down. 20 secs won't kill you, but they do help quite a bit. Many of you helped pay for these flags, help us take care of them.
Lastly, try not to bitch too much about flags. They look great, especially with the numbers we will have. If you don't want a flag waived in front of you, move toward the top or bottom of a section. If that's too much to ask, I don't know what to tell you other than I don't want to hear it.

It would be nice if we could get them spread out across and up and down both sections and not concentrated in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rows.
Duly noted. Heavily considered.

In previous years, I went up and down the rows of 137/138 in order to spread them out and we'd try to have a few low, and a few high. Trust me, it's harder than you think to get people to agree to hold flags.

That's TV coverage right there. After the 5th row, you are no longer part of LARS.It would be nice if we could get them spread out across and up and down both sections and not concentrated in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rows.

No I know...I hate it when someone tries to shove one in my hand. I won't even fall for the old "here, hold this for me for a minute" trick. In previous years, I went up and down the rows of 137/138 in order to spread them out and we'd try to have a few low, and a few high. Trust me, it's harder than you think to get people to agree to hold flags.

EDIT - I nominate myself for worst supporter currently in a supporters group ever.

It seems like it would be funny to tackle them as they tried to walk off though... handle it next time! It's funny to watch teenagers wonder what to do with the flags after the game is over. It's not funny to see them decide that they should walk off with them.

I suggest we tell the ticket people not to let people through with flagsi suggest having 3 people on top of 138/137 at the end of every game.
