Biggest thing is having treatments for this until a vaccine is approved.
Gotta get the economy going again though. A serious depression will end up with deaths far beyond this virus.

the numbers are so low it's not because of distancing.
Really? Quarantining seems a large factor.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The other thing is that a vaccine isn't necessarily a guarantee so it's probably better for a small chunk of people to get the virus in order to achieve something closer to herd immunity. Staying inside forever obviously isn't a solution.

They can probably start sooner if just play all the matches in one location with no fans for a while

yeah, makes sense, because it's "all a hoax", and it's "just a flu," right?
No one should be doing anything until we reach a plateau and or stop having people die and have this bullshit under control..

We've already hit the first plateau though. The problem is we can't just open everything back up.

You can't play God and have the death count down to zero going forward. It's just impossible and unrealistic.

Just need to get it to a point where hospitals don't look like they do today in NYC. As testing and treatment options improve to the point where hospitals can handle cases without being overwhelmed, people will start getting back to work. Cuomo is with you on that.

NPR website has modeling on the projected peak in each state. Of places with MLS teams, DC already peaked on April 4th, New York's peak is supposed to be today, NJ is April 12th, but Texas, Minnesota and Utah aren't supposed to peak until 2-1/2 weeks from now. If those are truly the peaks, then it would be at least 2 or 3 weeks after that before they should even think about restarting training. Oh, and for you NYCFC fans, the peak in Connecticut is on April 22nd

"They better keep playing that RB Arena update because that unbuilt stadium is the only positive thing about this soft-drink-selling, coached-by-a-dumbass, trading-good-players-for-shit, hopeless, retarded, club." - MetroFanatic
"It was always six weeks away. Every month, [Nick Sakiewicz] would say, we're six weeks away from the stadium. It's been the longest six weeks of my life." - Mike Petke
"I think every country can learn everything about each other. If the whole world can be together, it can be good." - Mathias Jorgensen

nice!
I actually like this idea
The club found a creative solution to the lack of in-stadium support by inviting fans from around the world to buy virtual tickets online. In return, the fans' photos were pasted onto the top half of a fashion dummy sitting inside the stadium, and the fans themselves receive a matchday magazine sent to their home address.
Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

17 million now unemployed as a result of the closures. And that's probably lowballing the real number because states seem more preoccupied with doommongering and spreading fear than fixing their overburdened unemployment hotlines.
Maybe we see MLS teams start training May 1 with a return to league play by Memorial Day weekend.
The doomers can't keep up their charade forever. I'm glad public opinion is finally starting to shift on this.
Do you watch the daily Cuomo briefings? He has already explained how we will move forward on the economy.
In short, the plan is to slowly reopen once were going down the other side and testing has improved enough that we can send people back to work who arent going to start another epidemic.
We need to start going downhill and improve testing. Until those two things happen we aint doin shit.
