Lade is made of hustle and work ethic, but unfortunately sometimes that's just not enough.

I was surprised he didnt start Lade against Philly, if for no other reason than Murillos sake. Would have sucked for him if he picked up a knock right before the World Cup because Philly was chippy. And, Lade could have eased in with minutes at home against, in theory, an easier Philly team.Keep in mind, knowing Lade was going to be starting this game, Marsch gave him zero minutes in the past couple games since he came back from injury. One mistake.

ORL game, a couple of mistakes cost us a road result
A horrible non-call on a gift ORL goal
the team fielded an understrength lineup. Limit the mistakes and the understrength lineup can snatch a result.
The reserves playing in the understrength lineup need to step up and show that they are adequate backups to the regular starters, not liabilities waiting to be exploited.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

To be fair, we had to play three field players that are backups to the backups. Collin is probably behind Escobar, Duncan would be ahead of Lade at RB, and a healthy RZA is higher up the depth chart at CM than Beze. I think anyone of those three that starting in NE would be fine if they were the only backup backup playing.A horrible non-call on a gift ORL goal

That's a very fair standard for one reserve filling in now and then. When you're literally missing over half of your starting lineup, it gets a little tougher to hold them fully accountable for lost points. Its just a shitty situation unique to MLS where the only surefire answer is not to sign international quality players.
