Robles
Murillo-Collin-Parker-Long-Taxi
Adams
Royer-Kaku-Etienne
BWP

Bench: Meara, Muyl, Valot, Rza, Beze, Davis, one of Bonomo/Mines/Rivas

I wouldn't play wing backs here, personally.  The Dos Santos brothers will get in behind them anytime they push up and/or get caught out of position. Them running at Collin, Parker and Long just makes me a bit sick to my stomach at the moment.  I'd rather keep the flat 4 shape and let Parker and Long clog up the middle.  I just see Collin cleaning out JDS for a red.

Think you go back to the 4-2-3-1 with Davis and Adams sitting deep and Kaku underneath BWP.  Rza and Royer either side.  I want Etienne off the bench for a late game spark.

From what I've read about the Dos Santos brothers in MLS so far, they aren't doing a whole lot of running. Anywhere, or at anyone.

But I'm more a fan of the 4-2-3-1 too. Collin really hasn't been able to bounce back to form after his injuries last year, I'd rather he stay on the bench unless he's needed. And even then... is Escobar healthy yet?

Anyone putting Collin in their starting XI should be permanently banned.

Meh, this is a game that you may want a Collin to frustrate the hell out of Zlatan.

He'd get a red in the first 15 minutes

No. I actually spoke to this ex-MLSer at MLSDraft. I called him a "GodKiller, and breaks motherfuckers in half"

THAT'S WHO YOU SIGN TO SQUARE UP WITH ZLATAN:

I think Ibra has def brought good publicity to the MLS but his Im the greatest player of all time schtick is starting to get old.

I mean we get it, you are the greatest of all time blah blah blah. Say it again, youve only said it 59 times since transferring.

That said, it would be nice to shut him down and keep him off the scoresheet.

I want Zlatan to be bored, not frustrated. Frustrated Zlatan will drop a 30-yard bomb on you. Bored Zlatan will just yell at his teammates for being shitty players.

Hes been saying it his whole career. His shtick got old long before he came here. That being said, I believe a lot of what he says is said tongue and cheek. Still nauseating at this point, but makes it slightly more bearable in my opinion.

So saw in some places that Galaxy's defense is sorta shambolic? Maybe have the press XI out there. Muyl/Royer in the wings, Rza Davis Valot in the center. Back4 with Tyler at RB with Robles, BWP up top. Kaku off the bench, thus maddening the fanbase some more.

Doubt Jesse-Oh does any of this.

For better or worse, our 3-3-3-1 seems to be our favored formation to disrupt the other team especially on the road, so I can see us using that:

..... ..bwp
........Kaku
.....rza...... Muyl
... ..... Adams
Kemar.......... . Murillo
... Long.. Collin..Parker
......... Robles

Let Muyl run around for 60 and bring Royer off the bench if we need a goal.

How could I forget. It did stifle Chivas at altitude for the most part. Good call. So maybe Fidel with Parker and Long?

I feel like this would be putting guys in their natural roles yet since pretty much everyone can fulfill more than one role it will be the most fluid and most tactically flexible lineup. Therefore if they want to play stretched lengthwise say Taxi steps up and he can pinch inside and Davis can join Royer and Kaku it's 3-3-3-1
1678205_New_York_Red_Bulls.jpg
or if Muyl joins Royer and Kaku.. Adams drifts wide to cover the space vacated by Muyl, and Davis drops back centrally to cover the backline and Taxi again can step up on Davis left, forming a Taxi-Davis-Adams line, making a 3-3-3-1..or even instead of that if Muyl attacks taxi drops back to make a 3 man backline and Murillo advances a line forward to cover the space behind Muyl and plays on Adam's right with Davis playing on Adams' left to make it a temporary 3-3-3-1

Davis and Muyl have stamina if anything so they can change their positioning and return to their prior space..

Also because of their stamina and i feel they have bought into the press the most So if the opponent bunkers down they can both join the attack and play out very wide and press making it a 4-1-4-1/4-1-2-2-1 and allowing the most gifted mids in comparison IE Kaku and Royer to stay central.

Then again if NY need to sit back they can go to the same 4-1-4-1 with Muyl and Davis out wide trying to win the ball wide or forcing the opponent to play long balls and allowing Kaku and Royer the limited defensive role of plugging central passing lanes in front of Adams which suits them more than pressing.

With and if Kaku and Royer get gassed Davis and Muyl have more stamina and they track back and pinch inside to block passing lanes either sides of Adams to help protect the back line made up of 4 at this time Makin the team a 4-3-3 if Kaku and Royer goal poach.. or 4-3-2-1 if Kaku and Royer prefer not stay as high as BWP and not press the opposing fullbacks and rather protect passing lanes in front of Davis-Adams-Muyl and also hurry the opposing CDMs..
I just want Metro to win a title sometime in my lifetime.

would prefer Rza in for Muyl, then flip Rza and Davis flanking Tyler. Kaku and Royer to roam underneath BWP.
