So, Mexico showed their prowess in the youth tournament in London, but now it's time for the men.

So, here's Mexico's squad...

Goalkeepers: Guillermo Ochoa (Ajaccio), Alfredo Talavera (Toluca).

Defenders: Francisco Javier Rodriguez (Stuttgart), Hector Moreno (Espanyol), Severo Meza (Monterrey), Hugo Ayala (Tigres), Jorge Torres Nilo (Tigres), Enrique Perez (Morelia), Adrian Aldrete (Club America).

Midfielders: Jesus Zavala (Monterrey), Manuel Viniegra (Tigres), Edgar Gerardo Lugo (Santos Laguna), Pablo Barrera (Cruz Azul), Andres Guardado (Valencia), Angel Reyna (Monterrey).

Forwards: Elias Hernandez (Tigres), Aldo de Nigris (Monterrey), Javier Hernandez (Manchester United).

So much for Chivas being the foundation of El Tri

JK releases the US team tomorrow.

Brek Shea?????

Well, Dos Santos doesn't really play club soccer and he's done OK.

I'm happy to see Landon listed as a forward and I'm beginning to hope that Herc may have a regular, but I'm wondering about a lot of those guys in the midfield and defense.

I'm curious about Mexico's team, but our resident El Tri expert has decided to lower his carbon footprint by not posting on these boards, so I guess the ball is round and the game is 90 minutes and we'll figure out the rest on Wednesday.

Not an impressive side.

Brek Shit indeed. I'm beginning to wonder about Klinnsman. How do you say "man crush" in German?

Not a big fan of Danny Williams. Don't like Rasta White Trash much, either. The KC and Smurf defenders are a mystery to me. Must be getting a look at the depth chart.

Sean Johnson doesn't deserve a call up. Has Edu been training at all?

Happy to see Joe Corona getting the call. Hope Castillo gets to play as a wing. But if he's running one flank and Fabian is running the other, that could be interesting. However, that really means the center backs have to be good and the dmids have to be strong. Beckerman goes to ground too easily and Jermaine Jones is a hack. I can see Jose Torres playing as a dmid partner for Edu so Corona can play the attacking position. Torres' vision is very good and can make that long pass.

Think a Donovan-Herculez pairing up top is good. Expecting to see Boyd start, though. Of course, if JK is playing a 4-3-3, that means all three may start. Hmmm....

Guess Chad Barrett wasn't available.

In Azteca. Good luck there, defenders. It is time to move on from Bocanegra and Onyewu, right? So, it begins here. Let's see.

our back four has been shite for years. we need new blood for sure. I hope Omar's phone is ringing, but not for his match.

This is beyond awesome.

A lot of MLS/FMF players for this one.

Looks like a trial by fire for a lot of these players, especially the defenders.

I hope they don't get thrashed too badly..

Klinsmann confirms that Timmy Chandler isn't "tired", but that the doesn't want to commit to the U.S.

I wonder, when JK called in Gordon, if he really meant to call in Steven Lenhart and got confused. I'd love to see Lenhart mix it up with the Mexicans.
