Another fine mess:

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Still plenty under the luxury tax, but no more studs on the FA market to spend on.  They decided to go with Almora over Bradley Jr, which I think makes sense given the lack of clarity around the DH.  Almora is a decent enough option off the bench.

I get the feeling the new FO doesn't love JD Davis...maybe they throw a high AAV to Justin Turner to start at 3rd base and push Davis to the bench?  Take a shot at the Dodgers after they won the Bauer sweepstakes.  Or maybe circle back around to the Cubs and see what they want for Kris Bryant?

Marwin Gonzalez could help as a utility player.  Trevor Rosenthal would help a bullpen that always seems short an arm or two.  Maybe they look to score Paxton/Walker/Odorizzi on a one year deal to get another starter.

Lot of directions they can go to improve the team.
