Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

If he doesn't return on field I would love to see him in some sorta coaching role.

He seems to be going down the broadcasting route, wouldn't be surprised to see him head back to London for an analyst job.
I honestly would be amazed if he didn't retire at the end of this year.

http://bigapplesocce...rticle_id=37760 I get the feeling he will retire especially if we bomb out of playoffs again.
same.. i snuck down towards the front row after the final whistle while he was walking around and clapping. i just get a feeling this is his last season, and today was one of his goodbyes

I think he will retire too.
Back to England, analyst for EPL coverage or assistant at Arsenal. #FishTank

Well, Henry is 37 years old and he has won stuff for every team he has ever played on, including RBNY last season. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to hang up the old boots, get a cabin down by the lake, and spend his golden years fishing and hooking up with fashion models.

Houllier also helped put some confirmation behind the "tightening purse strings" theory when it comes to replacing Henry:

Houllier said that “we probably won't spend as much as we did before. We definitely need a DP but we need to pick the right person.”

He did look reflective when he was looking at the 'Legend' banner.

I do not get the penny pinching shit. If they expected TH14, Cahill, Marquez, etc. to sell out every match due to their name, that was never going to happen. Unless you get Messi, Ronaldo, etc. in their prime, people aren't going to flock to RBA on the reg just for one player. It takes legitimate marketing and community outreach to do that. With that being said, quality players helps win games, and we have a billionaire owner, so don't give me that bs.
Also, TH14 is done. There is a reason Arsenal came over for the first time in decades.

So $2.5 milion or $3 million is penching pennies?

If the cap goes up, there is no reason why we can't still build a great team without spending 5 million per designated player.
More players on the level of Jamison Olave, Wright-Phillips, and Lloyd Sam could be a good thing.

It's all relative. For many teams, no, but the man made it clear spending would be down, and to me that is 'penny pinching.'
