Hard to argue. Maybe Robles, but you don't see too many GK captains anymore.

Fact is, Sacha will probably only be here two, maybe three years at most. He's taking care of the armband until, say, a Sean Davis is ready to take it.

Well deserved. Hopefully, he can unite the team. Dax is a tough personality to lose/replace.

I'd bet Marsch wanted to do this for a long time

I think, were it not for the Petke mess, he would have pushed for it as soon as Sacha got here

Oh god... Everyone already hated him. If he wanted Sacha to be the captain then he would have been captain.  It made sense to have Dax do it because any incoming coach needs the existing guys to buy into the system and the ways of doing things.  He brings Sacha in and immediately makes him captain?  That just divides the room.

And Sacha is the better natural leader anyway (Something I said many times even when Dax was still here).  Got sick of Dax throwing his hands up and embarrassing guys like he was as good as Henry.  Badgered and picked on Ouimette to a point where Ouimette couldn't take it anymore and that was during a game.  Ouimette wasn't any good but Stevie Wonder could see the guy was busting his ass out there.  Other moments during the year and Dax would be bitching to the ref about something but Sacha was already thinking ahead and getting guys lined up and focused on the next set piece.

Sacha is my favorite player but that would be the correct move to make...

Unless we win an MLS Cup.  We win an MLS Cup and I have no problem being sentimental.

Don't get why some people want to treat Dax and Lloyd Sam like they are Jeter.

It won't be the correct move to make if we still aren't pushing the salary cap and don't do shit with the money.

If you scan YouTube looking for Bradley Wright-Phillips, youll find numerous goal compilations, a few interviews and, eventually, an excerpt from the grime mixtape series Lord of the Mics.

This is true... But we'll sign a DP this summer.  Just like we have the last two years.  Marsch seems to have this wait and see approach as far as identifying what our weaknesses are, and then addressing them in the summer.

Personally would rather shoot the cannon off in the winter and make every acquisition you can think of, but I do understand the rationale of what we're doing.
