Everybody thats watched RBNY games? When was the last time a weaker opponent tried to play the though our press and not over?

I don't think getting into a message board argument over how Sacramento would play in a fantasy game vs. RB has much value. BUUUUUT, if Sacramento played the same game plan vs. RBNY as they did vs. Orlando, RB would be up in the first half. Sacramento's plan was to eat time and utilize width against Orlando. If Sacramento rolled out a unique game plan to combat the Struber press (which I'm not entirely sure they would), then I guess individual performances by Morgan, Luqs, and others would be more important to a win.

But we both think RB would have won in this fantasy game, so this is a silly discussion.

Yes, if Sac played the same way they did against Orlando, we would have torn them apart. But why would they? Orlando plays a totally different style, that requires a different gameplan. As a USL side, if Sac came out and tried to play through the RBNY press, the coach should be sacked at halftime.

Not playing through a press I think, but playing around.... Sacramento had their wingers heels on the sidelines. Cycling back and forth in midfield. Not really pressing for a goal, more trying to play keep away in midfield using width, while having defensive cover.

But whatever, doesnt matter, does it?

We would've bobbled the hell out of that game, most likely. Sac would bunker and counter like how most teams do against RBNY when they play at RBA. This team doesn't have the talent nor gameplan to consistently create chances against a low block.

For real. 0-0 through 120, lose on PK's in front of the South Ward.
