Sweden continues to have our number at the Olympics:

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Good thing this was a group stage game.

It will be interesting if we meet them again in the knock out rounds.

If we finish 3rd in group, could rematch in semis.

Don't recall if I ever watched a game that featured 3 blocked PKs by 1 'keeper.

Semi-finals could be labeled "Unfinished Business", all 3 Group G teams advance - Sweden, USA, Australia. If it comes to pass, a Swe/USA final has the potential to be epic seeing as how the USA has several players (Lloyd, Heath, Rapinoe) that will be looking to leave it all on the field.

USA at 9 goals and counting called back for offside in this tournament.

SWE have cruised through the tournament so far.
3-0 over US & 4-2 over OZ bodes well for them.
USA have struggled, need to step it up.

They have been awful all tournament long. Coach needs to be fired, I'd fire him even if they still win the bronze, there's no excuse for so many games in a row where they play this poorly.

Coach needs to be fired.

I read a comment somewhere that he was only hired on condition that he play certain people.
I do not know if that was the case, but in the current environment I would not be surprised.

Not sure if the 9 goals disallowed for offside before today had anything to do with it, but other than set pieces not much was crossed into the box during the run of play. Seeing as how physical Canada was playing, picking up a cheap PK wasn't out of the question. Going 65 minutes without a shot on goal from anywhere didn't help much either.

The entire roster acted like it was chore to be there. I noticed a few of the players sniping at one another towards the end of the game, don't recall seeing that from them before. This team was definitely lacking the all for one, one for all attitude that other versions had in spades. Poor roster construction, poor tactics, locker room discord, who knows what the reason could be.

I think all the extremely negative media attention hit the USWNT pretty hard. They played nowhere near as well as they did during the Women's World Cup and they had basically the same players.

I switched channels when NBC played a 3-minute commercial in the middle of the 2nd half. Come on, man.
