I know its not ideal at all, but hasn't Lade played CB before? Plus he was one in College iirc. They could throw Muyl at RB in that case, but damn is that is such a trade off from Murillo - Parker.

If we're sticking with first team guys, move Taxi in the middle and let Lade take fullback. Not even close to Taxi's best spot but at least he's played there a handful of times.

Interested to see what Marsch does with the CB situation. Id be weary of starting Collin on turf, but Id also be weary of starting him on both Wednesday and Saturday, if he sits the first of these 3 games in 8 days.

I think that he's been on for the entire second half? The announcers just didn't notice until now. Wearing number 11 on the left wing.

So Argentine Etienne outplayed Etienne?

Also if we win the USOC game, I couldnt care less what happens against the Revs. USOC and MLS Cup are probably the only avaneues back into CCL.

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

That's partially true, but winning the Shield (a win vs. Massholes would have us no less than 3 pts behind ATL with a game in hand) gives us a better chance of making the CCL than not winning the Shield.

We started the league in 7th in the CCL standings with 50 points, with boy city the leaders at 57.    Chicago and ATL were tied for 2nd at 55, Crew at 54, Seattle and Portland tied at 53.

Right now the standings go like this

boy city 81

ATL- 80

Crew - 79

Portland - 73

Metro - 72

CHI - 69

Seattle - 61

So we picked up two places already, and have 1-3 games in hand on every one ahead of us except Portland.

So there are a few teams we'd have to beat by 5-7 points to qualify through league placement, but its still an avenue.

I don't disagree that we should prioritize the USOC, given the shitty personnel choices the international callups have forced upon us.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Meara/Robles
Lade-Long-Collin-Taxi
Rza-Davis
Valot-Kaku-Royer
BWP

Bench:Louro/Meara, Kutler, Bezecourt, CCJ, Mines, Muyl, Rivas

Not Dressed: Redding, Ndam (on loan to USL, so either he or CCJ would need to be loaned down due to INTL spots), Politz (Season-long loan to USL team), Bonomo

Problem is a CB. Collin isn't exactly durable. If he goes down, Kutler would take left back and Taxi slides in. Otherwise, CCJ down and Ndam on the bench. Not fond of the idea of Redding being included. Hasn't played since his MLS debacle and has 2 USL games with the team, one being subbed off.

Bleh... That sucks.

Extremely thin at CB now.  Can't even go with the 3-3-3-1.

---------BWP------

Royer Kaku Valot

----Davis--Rza

Taxi Long Collin Lade

I remember when we thought Redding might be good enough to compete for a starting spot at CB.

MLS is the only league in the world where teams get punished for having good players.

Atlanta/ Revs game is getting started, I pay for this channel against my will, so might was well watch it.

I'm not sure who to root for exactly.   A lot of guys to get non-serious, short term injuries in a scoreless draw?  22 stubbed toes?
