or Dan could just keep metrofanatic as a reminder of Metro instead of creating a whole new website and one of the pro Red Bullers could make a new site. You could even get the website name sponsered to make money. it could be Verizon'sRedbullfanatic.com brought to you by Nabisco.

I dont know what will happen with the team but I do know that Dan's coverage would be sorely missed.

At this point, I still have no idea what will happen with MF. Anything from closing it to carrying it on to various scenarios in-between are possible. One thing I know, the site will never be rebranded. It will stay MF.

Thank you Dan...even if red bull erases our history, we will still have our reminder right here.

I prefer MF, too.

I concur. This site means as much to me as the team on the field, and if Red Bull gets its way, this site will mean more than the badge on the shirt.

MF needs to stay.
It made me a metrostar fan.
I was a follower of the team but because of this sites news and messageboard i finally had a source for my team and way to rant and be a real fan.
And i know im not the only one and for that alone it should stay.

Also if the team becomes the New York Red Bulls or anything like that a reminder needs to be around that at one time the metrostars did exsist.

i agree.. i was always a fan but i became much more involved once i stumbled across this site (i dont even remember how.. i may have read someones post over on BS , which linked here).

even if MF isnt updated anymore, it should def. remain so that some sort of history remains

The problem is, there's no real solution that will satisfy everyone, and at present, there's no solution that will satisfy me. And the people that I ask for advice all have different variations of it...

I only have one thing to say to all you MFers: ...
oh, never mind! :D

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Dan to quote the philospher of my drunken/stoned college years, Mr. Jackson Brown, "oh won't you stay".
This is the only place to get news about our team, whatever it may eventually be called and it has made a wierd sort of community amongst those of us who find ourselves checking here multiple times a day.
And since I haven't said this before...thank you for all of your past work.

To Dan and others who have worked on Metrofanatic, I want to say that I grew to love this team because of your work. I was able to find out about news more quickly than visiting the official site, and I actually feel some connection to the years that I did not follow the club through the site's nods at Metro history. This is the best site in sports, and I just wanted to say: Thank You. Whatever happens with the site, I'll support you 100%; I just hope it doesn't close down completely.

i cant say i fell in love with the team through this site (because i knew about BS before I knew about this one, but after finding MF i literally dont think ive gone back to BS a single time.)

but please dont close down the site. forums like this make u feel that much closer to the team. (and this is the best site that ive seen for any team.) and wouldnt keeping this site up be the best way of keeping the metro history alive?
