the source of all the links I provided, Maxxed Football Forums, was busted. They no longer provide information for torrents or streams
The alternative is
http://www.soccer-media.com/bbs/
it's a clusterfuck of chinese (or one of the asian languages, I'm not quite sure.) I don't even know how to sign up on that site.
If I find a good alternative I'll post it here.
Until then, you're on your own to find streams. PPLive sports still shows soccer all the time. any major game is easy to find.

be sure to run the update. Also, sometimes anti-virus software will detect this software as a virus. That is not true. There is no virus or any malware in the version I'm hosting, or in any upgrade you'll get.
There are other pieces of software you can use, like TVants ( http://www.football4...ams/tvants.html ) or Sopcast ( http://www.sopcast.org/ )
SECOND
Click on the current day on the calendar at http://www.tvfutbol....newlang=english
THIRD You'll see a list of all streaming programs for the day. Click on the one you want to view.
FOURTH You'll be shown channels which are showing the game. You'll see their icons. Click on the channel icon (like Star Sport or CCTV5)
FIFTH Click on the the link based on what software you have or prefer. Sometimes the links are for PPLive only. Sometimes they are only available on Sopcast or TVants or something else. PPLive has a link 90% of the time.
SIXTH Be patient. Windows media player will open, it will buffer for a bit, then you'll see the match. Typically, the more popular the match, the quicker the buffer. During the World Cup, the buffering period should be short, but then again a lot of people might stress the p2p system running this software.

Any leads on a streaming audio source in english for the world cup games I can access through Windows Mobile 2003 on a PDA?
I've been poking around, but frankly I don't really undertand the technology. The only thing I have found that works through the machine is a Radio Japan site mms://rj-wmt.gekimedia.net/rj28, but it is just a place holder and offers no content.
I'm hoping to be able to hear the games in progress on my handheld as I make my rounds in the morning.

Chinese Premiership fans to pay to view
BEIJING, Feb 13 (Reuters) - China's 30 million Premiership fans will no longer be able to watch live matches for free from next season.
WinTV, run by Guangdong Provincial Television, have won the broadcasting rights for three years from September -- and it will charge viewers 188 yuan ($24) a month for the privilege.
'The fans will have to endure the pain of the change,' WinTV chief executive Song Zheng, who refused to disclose the fee his company paid, told a news conference on Monday.
'Let's say goodbye to free Premier League. No more free lunch in the future.'
Chinese can currently watch games live on ESPN-Star, a joint venture of Walt Disney Co. and News Corp. , via a local cable TV broadcasting service which costs a fraction of the WinTV price.
Chelsea are one of several Premier League clubs who have targeted the Chinese market and the English champions recently launched a Mandarin Web site.
Song, whose station has just 40,000 subscribers, said he was confident of winning over enough viewers among Chinese obsessed with football and the English top flight.
WinTV will also provide coverage on mobile devices and the Internet along with live TV.
'Fans can enjoy the games in various convenient ways,' he said. 'There's only one premise -- pay.'
