You're kidding!!??

I have two season tickets. If I don't renew the end of September then they will go up $20 each.

Before we blow a lid, I've got some bad news and some good news...

I'll start with the BAD NEWS

- If you, like myself, are a season ticket holder who has enjoyed a price freeze (followed by the "Leiweke-fail" price drop of 2008) then your STH prices are going UP. Last year I paid $450 for my tickets, this year, provided I renew by the end of September, I will be paying $490. Not thrilled, but I did snub my nose at those of you who were paying more for three years, so divine justice I suppose...

For some time, 2007ish, we have had 2 LARS prices. One for pre-Beckham members, and one for post Beckham members. As mentioned, I was paying $450, my girlfriend, Brittany was paying $550 or so. This season the price has been reconciled.

That brings me to the GOOD NEWS

#1 - If you were paying the HIGHER ticket prices, then the prices for you are going DOWN. Same price, $490. That benefits many of you newer season ticket holders and you season ticket HOLD-OUTS (Josh, I'm looking at you).

#2 - As of this season we get an EXTENDED PAYMENT PLAN. Whereas last season, the sum of your season ticket price was due in 5 payments, it has now been DOUBLED to 10 payments.

That comes out to $49 per month. $49 per month is actually LESS than 2 home games at market value LARS price ($25).

#3 - We will be sitting down with the FO shortly to iron out the details on a supporters group specific set of STH benefits.

Much like the 'Excecutive Package' that was offered this season with that fancy looking bag and the 'Mixer' event, the benefits this time around will be tailored to Supporters Groups. Details to be confirmed, but I can anticipate you that there's at least one item that will make you feel like a kid who just saw the Easter Bunny if you aren't on board.

These are, for the most part, steps in the right direction. We wanted to take more firm leaps, but we need more numbers in our ranks to have more pull with the FO. Help us get there.

Just got my invoice in the mail.

$490 actually includes the stupid $10 service fee. That means that if you renew by Sept.30th, the official price for LARS will be the same price LARS had before #23 arrived in Los Angeles.

Also note that the supporters package includes 1 SUPPORTER GROUP Scarf per ea. ticket on your account AND an away ticket to the derby vs. the goats.

It says Supporters club designed scarf. I'm guessing they will be legit.

Tracer's point is important. By getting a second set of tix, he's going to be paying about $21 per game.

Here's the math:

1 ticket = $480
2 tickets = $960

- $100 for adding second tix = $860
+ $10 service fee (per account not per ticket) = $870

/2 to get the cost of each set of season tix = $435

/ 21 to get the cost per game = $21.00

Stay tuned for full details.
