I always dread games against the Revolution. They're such a fucking boring team.

Revolution ... are such a fucking boring team.

They went up 2-1 at home tonight against LA, down a man in the first half. Lost on 2 injury time goals.
Midweek at Minnesota.
Usually, this is the free road trip for Revs STHs.
I expect a big, vociferous away section.
Still, we are cool with the Midnight Riders. 🍻

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

RZA should start. Davis was fine on the wing last year Would not be opposed to DE7 for Royer

Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

I really liked Rza before his injury, love him now.

BWP

Royer / Kaku / Davis

Adams / Rza

Taxi / Long / Parker / Murillo(?)

Robles

Pray to Austria that Murillo isn't gone until end of season, somehow, because Lade is nooooot good. Is Escobar an inflexible CB? Could he play RB in Murillo's absence?

That is not Brad’s Revs. They are a RB clone. If Armas plans to “possses more” we are in a bit of trouble. Dance with what got us here this should be a win.

I'm kinda willing to give Lade a pass for tonight because it was obvious he was playing in a significant amount of pain. I know it was a shoulder but it still really had to affect him.
Let's Go Buffalo!!!

True, plus Muyl was his wing partner

Can't start Lade and Muyl together, especially on the same side of the formation.

At this point Muyl and Royer have earned a seat on the bench for Etienne and Rzatkowski (and/or whoever our signing(s) might be).

Agree with the same personnel as everyone so far but would shuffle some positions around to try and replicate how we played in the 2nd half against KC. Davis and Rza in CM, Kaku out left, Adams central, Royer out right.

Lade has this weird home run hitter/strikeout king thing going. Once a game, he will whip in a cross or pass that should result in a goal. Then, at least once a game, he will get caught too far upfield or out of position, and he will give up a chance that should result in a goal. He is serviceable as a role player, and is tenacious AF, but is not consistent enough to start on a cup winning team, which is what we are trying to be.

So, I hope Murillo starts.

And Kutler just isn't ready and doesn't know the position, since he used to be a forward. He still shoots like one.

Also another thing about Muyl and Lade, weren't they both on the right side of the field when we played at Yankee Stadium last week? Surprised they didn't get shelled last week, since NYCFC rolls over all the other teams that've played there.
