Again, if it is true that there's a $1.7 million bid and that there are other teams with competing bids, that means he would be coming in January. Waiting until his contract expires in the summer would require no bid.

so it could top out to a number similar to what the team paid San Lorenzo for Veron.
RIP Guillermo Romulo, Alexander Francis Orig, Celenio Eleazar, and my Mom, Resurreccion Eleazar.

The thing about making our huge DP/transfer a young guy from a league that is significantly worse than MLS doesn't exactly fill me with confidence here.
Only thing keeping me optimistic is the fact that at least we are making or trying to make moves this offseason. The fact thay I get excited for anybody to show up is sad in it self but at least we aren't sitting on our asses while there is a power struggle on team.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

How do we know that Romanian league is worse than MLS? I have literally never watched even a second of a game in that league.

I've seen Romanian teams play in European competition and they are uniformly awful.

Even in the vids of him he's getting away with some things he won't get away with in MLS and just the athleticism is a step down from this league. That said, the kid has solid athleticism and good quicks. I could see him doing OK from an athletic standpoint in this league. The harder stuff from short videos to learn is the mind. Instincts, finishing, how they work with their teammates.
Overall though I don't care too much what league guys come from. You still try to figure out how good they are and how they project to this league. Same idea watching a D2 kid and trying to project them to the NFL.

The Romanian team he plays for has knocked out West Ham out of the Europa League in consecutive years and West Ham is a Premier League (barely) side.
