Useless.  Atlanta now 7 points away in the CCL table.

As long as the two head-to-head games are still there, hope remains.

We only play Atlanta once more. It can still happen but odds are definitely against us.

that is what happens when you can't close a target in the July transfer window. you have to hope someone else fucks up rather than handle your own business. hate that approach.

Seriously...Who the Fuck Cares about the CCL?! Shall we start with the Supporters Shield...and MLS Cup FIRST?!

I think it would be a real feather in this franchise's cap to be the first MLS team to win CCL and compete in the Club World Cup. Would improve the reputation greatly.

We already won the shield 2x and bombed out in the playoffs so I'll gladly take winning the CCL trophy and the fifa world club trophy but I want the shield too cause I'm greedy and I want to win everything lol

Want it all. If we get into CCL, that means we are winning the Shield in addition to Atl fading badly down the stretch.

This is literally the scoreboard watching thread, not sure what you were expecting.

after today, with 2 weeks rest and playing DC who had played wednesday, you can kiss the shield goodbye.

ATL has a cake walk of a schedule the rest of the way.

Petke is going to take 3 points off them!

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

The Chicago-Orlando match may be the worst nationally televised game ever. Orlando is beyond putrid and the atmosphere in Bridgeview is non existent. Guess kicking out all the supporters wasn't such a good idea after all.

One draw for them and we beat them head to head (and they still win on tiebreakers probably...)  It will take a loss or a couple of draws from them.

Their schedule is not all that easy, RSL can beat them, the Massholes held them to a draw in gilette and will still be fighting for a playoff spot (probably.)  TFC in Toronto for the last game of the year doesn't seem like an easy win either, they can score when it all breaks right for them.

Fairly amazing that even after that Orlando loss, with just 6 games (maximum) to play, no team is eliminated in the Eastern conference (or maybe its not, seems to me there'd be more, there are two in the west already.)

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

Can new coach Ralston take points at home?

NE's in a free fall, they were in a playoff spot now they're 8th. 5 pts out, and have 3H 3A left. DC has 5H 1A. NE's cooked.

They had a 7 game unbeaten streak, then lost 3 in a row, got a draw in Orlando, then lost their next three.  Then they drew at home vs. Portland, won in Yankee Stadium, then managed a draw out in LA.

5 points out but with the game in hand over Montreal (also they play them to close out the season.)

I have no love for the Massholes, except to the extent they can help us out a bit down the stretch.
