The current logo is better. This new one is bland. It looks like someone threw it together in five minutes.
So it's a graphic representation of the player acquisition rules?
Is there any in this rout with authority to treat with me? Or indeed with wit to understand me?

I disliked it at first, but its growing on me. I am interested to see how each team has a variation of it for their jerseys/branding.

Not crazy about it. I'm sure they had many designs to choose from and this is what they thought was best for the league? Ok cool, every team get the logo in the team colors for their jerseys. Is that necessary? I like the current logo better.

I've always disliked the old MLS logo and I'm indifferent to this one, but I am very amused by the explanation for it all.
"The diagonal line “captures the fast-paced nature of the game and a league that’s on the rise,” and emerges from the bottom of the shield to “create a little bit of extra energy,”
really? How about:
"The 45-degree line also divides the shield in two – soccer is a game of two 45-minute halves"
I'm sure thats exactly what they were thinking - "we need some way to visually express the fact that we have two halves - THAT'S really what makes soccer unique and beautiful!"
"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth." - Iron Mike
Bitch covered my plaid?
The sorrow inside me grows.
I need my plaid pitch.
"It goes without saying that when things don't go your way they just don't go your way. " - JCO
"He can't kick with his left foot, he can't tackle, he can't head the ball and he doesn't score many goals. Apart from that, he's all right.”
George Best, on David Beckham

OK. But why bother with a new logo for Chivas?

I like how their diagram with call-outs specifically ignores the overdrawn line. It's the first thing the eye is drawn too and they don't acknowledge it at all.
Also.....
"Q: How does the new crest fit in and transcend the soccer world?"
I'd like to believe there's a circle in hell reserved for marketing people who write vapid shit like this.
