Calling out fellow Gs fans makes us look like Legion. We're WAY better than that.

I'm guessing that the FO is asking this, because they've heard f-bombs on ESPN, and ESPN (Disney-bastards) is wary of the FCC.

No, ABC/ESPN and FSC/FSW had stopped featuring LARS back in 2004 due to our excessive use of hand gestures. That has not changed. We cleaned up for a while, but this year, we reverted a bit. Now, I don't care about TV time anymore, but we can still be a shitload cooler than we are being now.

One of my favorite quotes this year came from a cameraman during the one game when ACB had everything taken away from them for punitive reasons. The network had to see "supporters with flags and a banner"... but the poor cameraman in front of 138 actually said, "It's always dangerous filming you guys". Luckily, we didn't screw up.

But still... geez.

+1

It's also counterproductive to the cause.

Why would they join in on the chants if they're being insulted by us?

I second this!

uhmmm... during the SEVEN YEARS I worked at Disneyland, I:

Added FUCK to my everyday vernacular.

Started actively drinking alcohol.

Lost my virginity.

Married (and divorced) Prince Charming.

Disneyland is NOT the place to go to avoid bad language. It was advanced to the professional level there.

Look, I'm quite certain that if there's a really bad call on the field, if there's a moment of agony or distress, not a lot of people are going to mind if you get really upset and belt out an 'f bomb'. Generally speaking, because it'll come right during the stadium's collective groaning/booing in which case your 'f bomb' is kinda disguised.

When you stand in the front row however, and at the top of your lungs, even during another perfectly good chant, and for no good reason (nothing's happening on the field) let out a full barrage of expletives. Then 2 minutes later do it again, and resume throughout the game. Yeah, they're not going to look kindly upon that.

That behavior is actually prohibited, they say so before every match, and we should consider ourselves lucky to get some leniency on the matter. And by some, I mean A LOT. We really have little to no argument against it.

Be advised that if the red coats have enough of you for stuff like this and decide to come give you the boot, you probably won't get any defense from the squad.

Especially now that you've been asked nicely by the taco man.

(Speaking of having LARS stepping in on your behalf, Josh, you get your 2010 season tickets, yet?)

And having game-long, or excessively repetitive collective 'chants' of 'fuck this' 'fuck that' 'fuck, shit, ass' is a definite mistake. It's a collective mistake, too. Like others have said, we are smarter, as a group (which is odd because as a rule, groups are dumber than the individuals who make them up) and for the benefit of the squad and it's continuity, I'm sure we can steer clear of trouble.

Finally, about a month back, just to the right of 137 we witnessed two Galaxy fans going at it over who sat where. It got to the point where one guy decked the other, his glasses flew out, and the other guy subsequently chased him up to the top of the section. Both got the boot. That's really productive, talking shit to and engaging fans of your same team to fights. Keep in mind that a lot of LARS were part of the 'sit on your hands, watch the game' crowd before they decided to join the fun.

Look, guys, it's very simple. We need to get rid of the obscenity, and go back to what made us great - racial slurs.

Let's leave "America! Fuck Yeah!" to the USMNT Winter friendlies.

The Galaxy FO aren't involved with those.

I'm in for racial slurs.

How about near obscenities? Like "You filthy piece of distended rectum!" That's still okay, right?
