Has anyone, SG, FO or otherwise, ever complained to the MLS FO about the seating arrangements at PPL?
There have been problems with the Illegitimates at almost every game I've attended there. Things have gotten better, but that doesn't mean that some major incident could not occur.
It's ridiculous to have away supporters kept completely separate from opposing fans prior to the game & after the game, escorted through a separate entrance into a restricted area, only to be seated across an aisle from a bunch of idiots fancying themselves as an outlaw SG.
It will not help MLS, if something bad happens. Especially since it would be entirely preventable.
The place is a mess. Security and stadium staff have absolutely no idea what they are doing. They completely switched around the pre-game procedure on us regarding where the buses parked, how we marched and when we marched, and the whole wrist band thing which was ridiculous.
My girlfriend (on her own) wanted to go get crab fries and someone that works there screamed at her and wouldn't let her cross the divider that segregates us from the Union fans in the concourse. Yeah... like one girl on her own that just wants a specific food item is going to start problems.
Where they have us sit is ridiculous. I guess there's nowhere else they can put us where we can maintain these numbers... but the way it is handled is a joke. They surround us like we are a state prison transport and don't police Union fans that instigate with us.

Away fans could/should have been placed in section 113 or 121, at the opposite end of PPL Park from the River End, and how it is done in every MLS stadium, that I have been in (11). Of course, now there would be problems trying to move season ticket holders from 113/121 to new sections.
No one has yet answered my question, about whether this problem has been brought to the MLS FO.

luxury boxes or team offices are located directly across from the River End. no way would they want us or any other group situated near them. it's by design.

There is a luxury box right next to our current section in PPL. It was occupied by RB fans during our game!

If this isn't the first time something like that has happened, I'd be shocked. They have a supporters group, the Illegitimates (or Illegitimate Sons of Ben), who's stated goal it is standing next to the away supporters and antagonizing them.
At some point, the Union FO needs to take responsibility for that, since the away support is right next to the home support. There's a reason the away supporters at RBA are as far away from the South Ward as possible. Putting two organized groups of fans that already don't particularly like one another right next to each other is a really fucking stupid idea.
Then again, Nick Sak is in charge, so what should I have expected?
Nick would probably disagree with you saying that putting the groups together "adds excitement to the atmosphere"...

Only if the groups joined in on a "Nick Sack sucks!" cheer!

Don't understand the NYCFC kit....they haven't beaten us but the Union have twice this year so wouldn't that be the kit to hold up?

I thought they gave the excuse that they set that area up as a "family-friendly section?" They felt it more important to keep the soccer moms away from their asshole supporters, instead of keeping visiting supporters away.

Just re-watched the game on MLS Live and the Philly color commentator is by far the worst MLS announcer I've heard. He's fuckin clueless.
