Long was here 6 years. Davis 6 Robles 7.

Exceptions. What is the average? 2 years? 3?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Obviously, captains would typically have longer tenures than other players, but are we really different than most teams?   A few long terms guys and lots of rotation at other spots.   CCJ is going on 6 years.  Barlow, Nealis and Omir are going on 5 years.   Yearwood, Coronel and Tolkin are  going on 4.   And then there's Meara.

Long was here 6 years.

Davis was here 6 plus several at RB2 and lower

Robles was here 7.

Those are all good long runs.  Time with the team matters more than time as captain.

Someone on Reddit compiled the longest tenures on the team and honestly it doesn't look all that bad. Plenty of guys with 5-6 seasons under their belt, they're just not our best players. Ryan Meara seems like a nice dude and all, but deep down fans really want the guy who sticks around for a decade to be a Diego Valeri type.

I bet we're back in a good rhythm after this season where most of the lineup is steady year over year and you're only moving a few parts at a time.

Exactly. Its just the tenure of the top of the roster. Luqui I have hopes he will hang around because he will never play for Brazil so national team ambitions cant push him to leave. Morgan I think will be gone after this year just because the Scottish coach doesnt respect mls players.
