That's assuming that KC hasn't folded during the two years they'll be playing in a minor league baseball stadium.

Yeah but it holds sub-10k. So it's perfect for them. It guarantees nothing changes.

And, hey Toronto. You've been outclassed by Montreal! Real grass north of the 49th parallel? Sacrebleu!

RTB, true about KC, and funny enough, the KC owners are getting the red carpet held out for them in regards to a nearly $1 billion dollar project for a new stadium and development in the Bannister area southeast of Kansas City. So they should have a stadium in 2010.

Small stadium? Yes. But if they can fill it up, it'll certainly look a lot better than having to play in the 6th largest stadium in the country with 85% of the seats completely empty.

Also, here's a picture from the newspaper that published this story that shows how the field would be placed.

He is also reputed to have bitch slapped Arius at the Council of Nicea. His fellow bishops were shocked at this behavior and relieved him of his role until Jesus and Mary appeared beside him and they changed their minds. What ya' gonna do?

I'm fine with the stadium in KC. Their matches are going to go from yawners to a great atmosphere, and I think they'll carry that into the new stadium, which looks really nice. And most of all, it may be a ball field, but it isn't field turf.

Hahaha. Awesome post, Bones. And spot on about the field turf.

You can see some really cool photos of the RSL stadium here.

RSL may never win another game but damn them if they won't lose in a class facility.

If they Goats go to Santa Ana, why not just use the stadium on Flower and Civic Center Dr.? It'll hold all 500 of their fans and any troublemakers can immediately go to the county jail literally across the street.
"Last month I was in the Canary Islands, and I met up with Armada Sur, the supporters group for CD Tenerife. When the subject of MLS comes up one of the first things they ask me about is if I've heard of the Riot Squad and they mention that one of them has a LARS shirt, and describes the gask mask guy logo.

Halfway around the world and I can't get away from you guys?!?!"

When exactly does the Goat's lease expire on the HDC?

I was hoping it was at the end of next year, but an article posted on this thread said they had two more years.

Not that it really matters. The owners of both Chivas and KC have so much money that they can afford to pretty much do what they want to.

When Chivas does move (and they will move), they will re-brand - even if they're only moving across town. The brand extension idea has been proven to be a solid belly flop.
