Those are the basics.

1 Flex (RB/WR/TE)

Or something similar.

This is a very standard setup and we shouldn't stray too far from it if we want our scores to be coherent.

I think we would see receivers or running backs out scoring QBs with that set up. For example, the QB has a 300 yd game, and throws for two touchdowns - a good performance - he scores 20 points. If a receiver has a 100 yd game and catches 2 touchdowns, that's 22 points. While that is a pretty good performance for the WR, I think that scoring discounts the quality of performance by the QB.

I'm fine with the WR/RB/TE scoring, but I think that a QB should score 1 point for every 20 yards and 4 or 5 points per TD. In my example above, the QB would then score 23 (assuming 4 points for a TD) or 25 (5 points for a TD). I think 20yds & 4 for a TD is a little better, as it won't give an incredulous score if the QB has a phenomenal game (325 yds, 4 TDs would result in 32 points).

Anyone else besides Josh have an opinion on this?

I think 4 points per TD for a QB is the right value, not 5. Even mediocre QB's were throwing for 20 TD's last year (14 total players, including the likes of Dalton/Flacco/Sanchez), while only 1 RB/WR reached 20 (McCoy). I honestly believe in your above example that a WR getting 100 yards and 2 TD's is a better game/harder to do than a QB throwing for 300 yards and 2 TD's... but that is just my opinion. I think dropping the yardage to 20 yards per point is fine to counter balance this. Or, what I actually prefer is to reward strong games with bonus points (this is an option in Yahoo, not sure about ESPN), so a QB gets 2 bonus points for achieving 300 passing yards.

Do we plan on having negative points for interceptions and fumbles? This also needs to be factored into the scoring example you laid out, because as we all know, QB's are also more vulnerable to negative points - they are responsible fore more turnovers than a RB/WR.
