Magee scores! 1-1
Fingers crossed, we get the result, unlike in the SuperLiga Final 2 years ago.
Whatever the outcome will be, here are some thoughts:
some creative spark in center midfield is needed urgently.
Kovalenko for the break up/defensive work/bite is fine. But how invisible and innefective was Miglioranzi ?
Allen had horrible showing and it wasn't the night of Sean Franklin either.
I liked the performances of Gonzalez and DeLaGarza.

Buddle and Patterson's PK's were shit. really awful.
2nd place is not bad.

Buddle blasts over
2nd Bluewing scores, Saunders picked the right way
Klein scores, keeper rooted to the center
3rd Bluewing scores, Saunders couln't stop it completley
Magee sends the keeper the the side and picks the middle
4th Bluewin scores, Saunders picked the right way
Patterson effort saved
Suwon wins the PPC 2009

Doesn't he always? Okay, he had that one goal + dorky little dance. But hasn't he been coasting on that for a long time now?Allen had horrible showing.
As for penalty kicks, I'm not too worried about those: PK shootouts only come up in the playoffs.

Most of the game our offense consisted of a, send the play to the right side and get a cross in, though I think that was in part due to Eddie Lewis going down. This system is much more Beckham friendly than the one we had on Weds.
Allen and Miglioranzi were the big question marks out there, but the loss was more of a collective effort. Just overall lack of ideas going forward. On its own efforts, game should've ended 0-0.
I think Donovan should thrive under this system though, assuming he's not bed-ridden with post-Munich depression.

Buddle couldn't dribble up the line. Franklin looked worse than a rookie. PK's woeful.
