Cosgrove is an intriguing possibility. I love the idea of a big burly forward in the Altidore mode who can score in a variety of ways.

I also like the fact that he has had scoring success at multiple teams bodes well for success here. I'd like this move.

The lack of ambition by ownership is the biggest issue. It's tough as a long time supporter of this team to watch it become a team of have nots.

 

So, I'm fine with the academy & philosophy, I just think they need an owner who is actually invested in our success enough to spend the money here for us to win. Except we don't have that. And it doesn't look like we'll be getting it any time soon. 

It's great that we are getting the first two, but the team is alarmingly short on the expenditures. In a haves and have nots league, we are fast becoming a have not.

Lots of tweets now claiming it is in fact Josh Sims. Intriguing signing. Primarily plays on the right but can also play on the left. 

I'm lukewarm on it. Don't hate it, don't love it.

Better than the options we were discussing yesterday. 

Our continuity is as high as any other team in the league and its masking that the level of talent (especially in the attacking third) is not at a level good enough to win MLS Cup.

Look around the league at the attacking talent on each team and then compare it to what we have. I don't see it changing sadly.

This league has quickly moved into a have and have nots... Red Bull New York is a have not.

Jorgensen is a pup and he shows some really good things so I'm still optimistic about him.  Ivan did look good early season but never got consistent minutes so who knows if that hurt him worse.

 

We need a 6.  And we need to stop playing Rza as a 6.  I actually like Rza but my preference would be him playing farther up the field where he can create more defensively.

If you are paying $2 million for a player in MLS, he better be a key player from the onset.

Not even a whisper of a move. Have to be frustrated as a fan with the lack of investment in on field talent. The team is good enough to compete in the playoffs. 

Adams was irreplaceable at any kind of realistic budget number.     

Correct. Adams is the best player ever produced by our academy. There was no replacement possible that wasn't going to involve a major DP signing. 

He's one of the best outside backs to ever play in MLS. It's stunning he hasn't moved yet. We're very lucky to have him.

We should target Pity Martinez.

There is a feud between pity and their coach.

Not a chance this club would pay for him. 

I attended game last week , 1st this year , still a gravel parking lot , took 1Hr to get out of the lot when leaving. They need to improve the roads into the Stadium and have a parking garage . RB Stadium is world class but the parking and roads into are at best high school level.

And here is the major issue. Those roads were built decades ago and just cannot accomodate the demand / usage. There's limited land to expand them, so I don't see much changing.

First...You can't take any team for granted...BWP starts...If we score in the 1st half (more than likely)...then put in White at half.

Perfectly fine with this. Kill the tie in the first half and then bring in subs in half two. 

Cup competition is the top priority.

Marin is exactly the type of player and level we should be courting. It's smart, tactical, and the reward is way higher than the risk.

The goal for this team is to continue to raise the floor and be a threat for hardware each season. They addressed the backup forward situation which was the top priority. The next thing to do is to add a more dynamic offensive wide midfielder to the roster. Maybe one of the homegrowns is that guy, maybe it's an international prospect.

If they do that and add another central defender for depth... I'll be satisfied for this season.

We have gotten less for better players...300K, if true, is great for someone who was not going to make it here

He wasn't going to play here and we were able to get something back in return. This is a win-win.
