Bradley Wright-Phillips "I prefer it at Red Bull Arena, but it was OK. I could imagine it being good for a baseball crowd.

The graphic on TV was:

-----------------Fletcher

------------Luquinhas Omir

-Tolkin Amaya Casseres Morgan

--------Nealis Long Edwards

-----------------Coronel

or was it actually on the field:

Do we want Yearwood to come off the bench again? I like him starting, personally.

I prefer Yearwood to Casseres. Although Casseres could take Onirs spot.

I do not think there is any doubt at this point that Fletcher should start over Klimala.

Not sure why Struber is allergic to playing both and seeing how it works.

Agree but what about klimila out wide?  Get him running/dribbling at people, passing ability and some shots from distance.

I'm interested to see how this one plays out. Chicago has scored the fewest goals in the league, but are also tied for fewest allowed (5 GF, 5 GA). I've yet to see Chicago play this year, but I wonder if they'll sit back and concede possession at home.

Morgan was playing a pretty interesting hybrid role. He kind of sat between the defense and midfield all game. Not sure there's a great way to fit how he played into a formation on paper. I'd probably call it a super-duper attacking wingback. He's got the speed to make it work, he's excellent in transition. Just wish his crossing was a little sharper.

I think he's just a "defense first" coach and makes his first priority getting the clean sheet. Seems like he thinks 3 CBs is the way to do it, which makes it harder to fit both strikers on the field without giving up the midfield.

I dont think the comms team even knew what formation we were supposed to be playing in. They had it as 4-2-3-1, but based on average positioning and what it looked like during the game it was a 3-4-3, with Luquinhas and Omir playing wider than the usual 3-4-2-1, with them pinched inside.

Based on the first 8 matches, I think Struber is going to continue to use Morgan in multiple different roles, but as the season continues I can see why Morgan is being used at RWB as much as he is.

In an idealized version of Strubers system his wingbacks are very attack oriented, which is why if Conrado is signed I can see the same formation that was employed vs. ORL with Morgan and Conrado playing as very direct and aggressive wingbacks very involved in the attack.

Media Metroese.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Dunseth mentioned 3-5-2, but noted that we were very fluid all over the field.
