The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which "unskilled people reach erroneous conclusions and make unfortunate choices but their incompetence robs them of the metacognitive ability to realize it." The unskilled therefore suffer from illusory superiority, rating their own ability as above average.

I don't understand attempting to pass teams to death
Even on rainy nights when the ball is skipping all over the field
Take shots, force Reis to make saves and see what you get.
Nope
Pass, pass, pass, lose possession, track back, win it back.
Pass, pass, pass, take a shot into a defender
Pass, pass, pass, lose possession, don't track back, get scored on.

i'm with you on this...
if you click on AJ and Boyens there are over 100 successful passes...and only 20 bad ones...but look where they're all going... either way not a good thing when the backline is passing it amongst themselves and click on sarvas and beckham... not enough arrows on the board for me
...
I do see however, that the midfield wasn't playing much defense... (as i'm trying to figure out what catamount is talking about) if you click on our midfield and check out the defensive help... dunno who's job it is to call you midfield back to help... but it ain't happening. Junihno is supposed to be defensive mid right?... not much action there

I still need to watch replay but last night my impressions were:
Saunders doesn't seem to trust his backline which seems to have him out of position or not ready to react at times. Beckham's very first pass was a give away. I thought it was a brave move to bench him. For all of his "skill" I don't like Cardozo. Teams are running at will up our flanks or through our middle. We absolutely devolved into Bad News Bears territory at the end with slipping, falling, bad touches and atrocious passing. We have got to get tougher in the midfield. If the players are fighting amongst themselves we've got a long way to go to sort shit out. We need leadership out there.
DeRo demanded more from his guys. Who's gonna do the same for the G's?

Might as well play Meyer from here on in. Might as well put McBean next to Keane, if Buddle stays in his Toronto FC form.
EDIT - yeah, I hate Beckham, but this isn't on Beckham. He's got every right to get in these guys' faces. Hell, I'm glad if he does - shows he cares for a change.

Wait, is that what started the scuffle mentioned above?EDIT - yeah, I hate Beckham, but this isn't on Beckham. He's got every right to get in these guys' faces. Hell, I'm glad if he does - shows he cares for a change.
And how hosed are we if Blecchs is the guy who cares the most right now?
On another note:
I can't imagine why.Saunders doesn't seem to trust his backline ...

You can't win games 5-3 if you don't score five goals.

Those were just pick up shots, the others were done during the week.By "tactical substitution" did they mean to rest Becks for his commercial shoot with Katy Perry that they filmed in LB today?
