Interesting how this year, due to fixture congestion, RBL is playing more of a flat 4-4-2 this season because it's easier on the legs.
I think we're going to see a two-forward setup (4-2-2-2/4-4-2), at least to start the season. The main reason it hadn't worked in prior seasons is because of the players we had in midfield, not because of BWP. I think BWP's holdup play and passing is good enough to play with a second forward; my bigger concern is can he keep up given his age.
Adams seems perfectly suited to play the Keita role. I'm eally excite to see him get a chance to be a bigger part of the team by defining more of the attack. Unfortunately, this could be an audition to maybe replace Keita (or be Keita's replacement's backup) when Keita moves to Liverpool over the summer...
Rivas BWP
Royer Kaku
Felipe Adams
Lawrence Long Collin/Redding Murillo
Keita, Davis first two off the bench.
I'm pretty happy going into the season with this. Especially, knowing that Marsch will course correct if the 4-2-2-2 doesn't work and play a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3.
