Good match for NYRBII. Should have had a few more. Alexandre continues to struggle but had a really good PK. Team, as a whole, rushed A LOT of plays.
Took both kids out, the youngest's first one (almost took a ball to the face, dad reflexes punched it back to the field). Somehow made it through the whole match and high fives with the players.

Makes me wonder if the league is still counting them but the stats viewable to the public are different. Last year, the Next Pro stats were missing assists from Jayden Reid and Matt Nocita (the only one each received the entire year), but when we released them, it was mentioned that they each had an assist so it's being picked up somewhere.

I think Wiki earned another start while Gjengaar was average, at best. Wasn't making the right decisions on or off the ball. Struggled defensively. Hope it's just getting acclimated to the team.

At least we're getting Cangy.
I usually like the home radio option. Jolley is a straight shooter about the woes of the team.

Draw is today for the 32 teams that advanced. Not many northeast teams. I think Vermont is the only other nearby to advance. The Carolinas have a bunch. Will be curious to see how this "draw" plays out.I assume RB2 will end up playing them next on April 2 or 3
A lot of matches in a few weeks time.
If they do 8 groups of 4 to keep it local:
Vermont Green, NYCFCII, NYRBII, and Maryland Bobcats are the likely group.

I sent an email to mls about match replays - if anyone has any ideas as to why they'd not offer them and or creative ways to get around this let me know.
Last year you could pause the match and it stayed "live" for a couple hours after the match. They took that away this year.
I am in an industry where I work very closely with Apple HQ on a regular basis. Next time I am out in California, I'm going to see if I can get an intro to anyone on that side of the house just to pick their brains a bit. If they are paying for someone to call the match, silly they don't keep it readily available to the public. Wouldn't surprise me if it will be a future option for a premium type subscription along with archived MLS matches.

O'Connor reminds me a lot of Sean Nealis.
Sofo has speed and skill. Lacks size but has a good enough touch to make up for it.
Mina definitely a more deliberate attacking wingback. Built like Olave. A bit reckless at times.

MLS' inability to schedule around international breaks is mind-numbing.
May be seeing the debut of AJ Marcucci if Meara isn't ready. Reyes steps in for Eile. Stroud or Harper-Morgan; Vanzeir-Manoel as the potential front 4.

They also still have Nick Stokes, Aidan Stokes' dad, listed as a player.
It's embarrassing the league can be this outdated with this stuff and don't allow the individual clubs the ability to edit their own rosters.

First match next weekend.
Current roster:
GK: Likely a signing incoming. Aidan Stokes will likley get a lot of time with Alan Rutkowski leaving for college (UNC) in a couple months and Marcucci pushing for first team minutes.
Defenders: Juan Mina and Copeland Berkley as the right backs. Centerbacks of Juan Gutierrez, Davi Alexandre, Aidan O'Connor, and Jair Collahuazo will battle for time. On the left Curtis Ofori will start the year injured but Omar Valencia has the position solidified. Backup is likely needed to start the year. Arian Recinos is no longer academy eligible but can be signed. Bryce Lebel, a former academy player, had a great college career with Louisville and has spent some time with NYRBII.
Midfielders: Stacked. Ibrahim Kasule and Steven Sserwadda can be on MLS teams. Mo Sofo already getting first team call ups over both of them. Bento Estrela has improved quite a bit and may be a season he needs to prove he is worth the MLS spot. Rafael Mosquera has some talent on the wing as well and Ronald Donkor may get sent down quite a bit when the first team is healthy. Aiden Jarvis, another academy player looked good last season, as did Dylan Sullivan, especially later in the season. Plus new signing, Malick Dembele. These spots will likely be the biggest battle for time with the talents we have. Adding in academy star Adri Mehmeti will also be a big help. Anel Ryce also a rumor and midfield option.
Forwards: Tanner Rosborough is on a path to an HGP deal and will likely feature more this season alongside Frank Ssebufu. Likely will see quite a bit of Mitchell and/or Hall this season as well. Wouldn't hurt to add another striker. Academy striker, Pipeloore Olanrewaju is another option that might be worth giving time to.

Bum nominations? We had two bad defensive plays all day, the Duncan foul and the wall that followed.
Duncan.
I'm usually a Duncan fan, but the number of balls kicked out of play unnecessarily or right into other players was surprisingly high tonight.
The silly foul to pick up the yellow and led to the goal earned it. Add in the late kick out of play deep with not a soul around him and resulting in a late throw.
Dylan was a welcomed change late in the match.

Am I going crazy or was there a reaction image of Ben Olsen looking like he's yelling out in pain that used to go around MF or Twitter?
He's likely Bum of the Week, so it will be on the MF front page for a week.
