I have been following this team since we had a Petke corner at old Giant Stadium. In my opinion he has played with the great Titi,  Sasha and now with Kaku. All teams honor their greatest players. Just visit monument park in Yankee Stadium and admire the great Baseball players who graced their uniforms. No matter how his career ends Red Bull should find a way to honor him.

It is a question of When Will, not Should.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Its an odd thought, but would the team be any good this year if he wasnt on the team? He scores like EVERY game. We are spoiled and lucky I guess.

Build the statue.

No one should get a statue until they retire.

After that, sure.

I appreciate him as much as any great player I root for.

But if he does not win a cup... no statue.

What if he scored a natural hat trick in an MLS Cup final, but we lose 4-3 following 2 own goals and 2 PKs marginally awarded?

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Then we burn down the stadium so we don't have to suffer anymore.

My scenario occurs in Toyota Stadium.

We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

I wonder how many years he has left as an every game starter.

Hopefully he renegotiates and doesn't leave here like Angel did at age 34. Even if and when he slows down I bet he could be a great late game offensive option off the bench.\

Just speculating as to how many more kicks at the MLS cup can that BWP gets here. Have to think this and next season at the very minimum.

Mattingly has a monument in Yankee Stadium.

The French Connection has a statue outside Key Bank Arena. Hasek should probably have one as well but I think the lingering bitterness over how he left means that will never happen.

All sorts of statues outside Wrigley

Club legend but we need a Cup for him to get the statue. My two cents.

Yeah... I'm a cup type of person.  It's easier to add guys who didn't win after you've already won a championship, but as the first it should involve a cup.

Until then, I do very much see BWP as Ewing, Mattingly, and now Lundqvist.
