Awaiting official word on @DaMarcusBeasley's MLS destination. Barring late change, it won't be CHI, RSL, DCU or Orlando.

We're still in it, I guess! :)

I think a DP contract for DMB would be a mistake, but a non DP would be a nice pickup for any team.

I guess.... Oyongo + Miller seems to be a pretty solid left side for us

Except we haven't seen it, and our depth there is miserable.  If we don't get one of Beasley or Jermaine Jones this summer, I'm going to be a little disappointed.

Scratch NYCFC & New England from Beasley sweepstakes, as well ...

How could he not be?  You think he's playing for $250K????

Why are ppl talking like its a guarantee that Demarcus Beasley is a DP?

Unless they changed the rules (very possible) he would have to go through allocation. It seems he and the league are negotiating with different MLS teams to find a best fit.

It's not a guarantee but personally I'd like to see that MLS continue to take care of USMNT guys like Beasley and not try to pinch pennies with these guys.

Makes sense Rooney.

And no I don't see him playing for 250k but max no DP seems possible.

Regardless this would be a great move. Even better for next yr when Henry is gone. Move Cahill up, get a stud CM and roll with Sam and Beasley out wide

He will be.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. That's what reporters have been saying.  Plus, Beasley as a DP means he skips the allocation order (not sure why it didn't do that for Edu, but whatever).

I'd take Beasley as a DP.
