mlssoccer article today from Doyle is revealing

Armas has a long leash – it took a half-season of worse defensive plays than that and a blow-up from his teammates at practice to get Michael Murillo benched).

and even more so about why that chance v NER was created because RZA didn't press the pass before the pass in addition to Long keeping them on sides and then Buck getting on the wrong side of Bou.

"...blow-up from his teammates at practice"  is a big effing deal.    No  wonder Buckmaster has gotten the minutes.

But that little analysis can be very clearly summarized as "Armas Out."  Coming from Doyle, that says a lot.

maybe maybe not as Doyle does like to stir it up a bit - Hi Matt!

RZA is holding the seat for Sims.

We have returned to a lot more pressing in the last 2 or so games

Theres no way Buck can dive like Murillo.

The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. We have to go back to the old four of taxi - Parker - long - Murillo soon.

If Bucky starts a playoff game we lose.

People love hating on Murillo even when the dude is the best dribbler on the team by far, even when he draws a game winning penalty. How can you not the guy when the alternative is buckmaster?

Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

Agree. Murillo is going to give up a big goal in the playoffs but none of these guys are better than him.

For better or worst, Id be stunned if Lade were on the team next year. I appreciate his longevity and service, but my money is either on him retiring or playing at a lower level.

Can Buck go into LAFC's stadium and mark Vela out of MLS Cup?

That has had to have crossed Armas' mind at some point.

He did last game so why not?

Murillo is clearly better and hopefully has his shit together. If you have a blowout with your teammates it goes beyond the coach

yeah you have to bench someone for a couple games after that or you lose the whole team.  lose the battle to win the war.

what armas is doing is better than sacha style where he hung him out to dry to the press

I bet Lade stays in the area, if not with the team. Either a player/coach for NYRBII, an academy coach or front office role, or going to play for FC Motown
