Sometimes I think the entire Red Bull existence has been some 19 year old kids football manager save file he only plays when he comes home drunk. - 'Mibabalou'

Saw Trapp was starting and gave watching today's game a hard pass. Looks like I made a good call.
Trapp got booed off the field by US fans during the friendly at Wembley in November. It's insane that he's still in the squad, much less starting while wearing the armband.

Egypt nearly qualified for a World Cup while their country was basically in a Civil War. Ivory Coast did in fact once qualify for the World Cup while the country was in a Civil War (both sides actually agreeed to a cease fire for the duration of the tournament). The situation in Venezuela is every bit as awful as has been reported, their soccer team being real good has zero relation to that whatsoever.

The situation in Venezuela is ... awful ..., their soccer team being real good has zero relation to that whatsoever.
Of the 23-man Copa squad, only the reserve goalkeeper plies his trade locally, in the Venezuelan league.
Similarly, almost the entire VZ national baseball team plays in MLB. And, if they are smart, stay here in the off-season.
We are good enough to beat the best teams, and bad enough to lose to the worst teams.

Ernie Stewart must be the nicest guy in the world. If you t look at the back of his soccer card hes a perpetual loser everywhere he goes. He still somehow not only keeps his job.....but keeps getting promotions.
The New York Red Bulls previously kicked around Major League Soccer as the MetroStars with limited success. But after transforming under a new banner in 2005, the Red Bulls have become a force to be reckoned with in the Eastern Conference. The club has made leaps of progress since its previous incarnation and now has its focus on bringing the league title to New York. I can never forgive him and the corrupt ref for that offside goal.
