Been awhile since I was this apathetic. Second half of the TFC game gives some hope, but can't see this team going anywhere this year. This team is simply cannot stop making brain dead defensive mistakes and are too mediocre otherwise to make up for it.

Over/under for goals conceded at 2.5

Frankly, since I am merely a fan and a not a fancy American soccer writer, I'm going to congratulate Wright-Phillips on a well hit goal. If I was an American soccer writer, I'd claim that the recently retired Henry was wearing an invisibility cloak and carried the ball into the net for the obviously unskilled Wright-Phillips.

Gotta find ways to stop goals..  Ditch the 3 man back line.  It was great for us midseason but we just don't have the defenders for it.

Go with the 4-1-3-2.  It gets the best players on the field in their best spots.

Royer----Sacha---Adams

Agree with that, right up until the point where you put DP as one of the starting CBs. Guy struggles as a part of a back 3, as a part a central pairing he'd be even more exposed. Escobar in instead. Younger, faster and will hopefully be here beyond this season.

Need to toss the current lineup formations out the window. Park the bus and hope to keep it 0-0 or maybe grab a goal on the counter.

The club should be going back to basics with defense and then building out from there. This game should be a reset button, like the season is starting all over again. Yes it's silly to be saying this in October but there is no other option besides leaking goals with our current formations. If we make the playoffs we wont get past the wildcard game if the club is incapable of keeping the opponent from scoring 3+ times a game. Need to play for a clean sheet and sit as far back as possible until the defense can figure out how to correct their weekly shitshow.

5-4-1 lineup:

Veron
Zizzo, Felipe, Davis, Adams
Lawrence, Long, DP, Escobar, Murillo
Robles

I'm fine with Escobar.  Personally not thrilled about either option.  Escobar hasn't really gotten to play much for us in a 4 man back line so it could be interesting to see what it looks like.

Who gives a $hit at this point? They gambled on Collin and lost. They didn't address the CB issue with a DP caliber guy to lead the backline.

The season is over.

I can already see Montero finding space after a bad giveway for a tap in or some bull shit own goal in or something 2-2 at best I think.

No Lawrence, Murillo and Escobar for this game thanks to the international "break".
