now we're double jinxed. that was the san jose earthquake theme song before they got knocked out of the playoffs and shipped to houston.

I remember snooping around their boards when they were deciding that. I actually told them that for humanity's sake and to avoid utter embarrassment DO NOT PICK THAT SONG and may the best team win.

The Crew last year had "We're not finished yet" as their theme. In honor of Michael J, we can take up, "Don't stop 'til you get enough". I KID!! I KID!!!

It's certainly looking quite good, for the playoffs and a possible a go at the shield, however there are some teams below us with games in hand, which could if they win them, overtake us.

related to that (stole it from Steven Goffs Soccer Insider)

MLS Playoffs FIRST-ROUND PAIRINGS atm
Columbus vs. Chivas USA
Chicago vs. New England
Houston vs. Colorado
Los Angeles vs. Seattle

The only way we wake up in first place on the 14th is if we beat FC Dallas by a margin of 4 or more and Houston/Columbus draw.

If I recall correctly, we have ended each of the last 3 seasons with strong and (falsely) encouraging runs...anyone know what our last 10 games records were for the last 3 season?

That and I suppose Chicago has to get a lesser result. They can win, but it has to be by less goals than our win.

So if we manage to win 4-0, they'd have to win by no more than 3-0.

FYP

Nitpicking, but if Houston Columbus draw, we're tied with with Houston on points and we currently hold the head-to-head against them.

If if it's LA, Houston and Chicago on 41 points then we still hold head to head tie breaker (most points from matches involving the tied clubs).

Still don't mean shit except for temporary bragging rights.

But if we play well to close out the season and at least draw at Houston and Columbus, the SS could be ours. That's a scary thought.

Suporter's Shield!!!

I still belive!

So needless to say, I and my 15 year old daughter, hate all the goats. The ones that play in the US, the ones in Mexico, the purple ones in CR, and the Dallas for their side-ways-color-that-look-like-shitvas-on-their-side teams.
